I think it’s more a running joke because you have to limit uptravel so much to keep big tires out of the inner fender.

Well I just got a big box of goodies from JD. Almost done collecting parts. Going to order a new core support and a few other things then it'll be some shop time getting it all put on and a new bumper built.

Not as bad as the guys that fell for spending that much on a lot of hurry up and wait with almost negligible advantage over the kit JD is making.

I can tell you right now with 37’s if I went 2” forward my tires would be in my headlights. It’s close as it is 1” forward.

Oh I believe it. There’s no getting around having to cut something once you get into 35”+ territory. The fender wells are only so big.

Yup. So regardless that kit is going to make you bump out sooner than going 1” forward. Absolutely no way around it. You can see here how much I had to cut out of the core support. People are fools falling for that shit.

    Too many to remember
I’d be way more concerned about paying $7k for a mild steel kit that uses urethane bushings.

As someone who works with metal everyday I cant stress enough on the strength of cromoly when compared to mild steel

Especially when it comes to that big area under the CV is just a 3/16" plate no boxing done there to achieve that clearance. After seeing the kit in person it's not worth the hype. I think it's a decent starting point for LT specifically for crawling but it's got a good bit of work to make it where it's worth that money.

I noticed that too. Looks like an extremely weak area.

This might be a dumb question but has everyone had shifting issues whenever they upsized tires. I had 33’s now 35’s and sometimes when it shifts, more so when cold it feels like it’s slipping where it revs really quick before it shifts. Did it both on 33’s and 35’s. I’ve been good at maintaining the fluid so I know it’s not that. I figured since I am still on stock gears till I save up for the new gears. It probably is screwing with the shift points. Has everyone on here for ecu tunes with the bigger tires and new gear ratio?

Sounds like you need gears. Probably gear searching.

Yeah that’s what I figured. I’ll see how it is after I put the new gears in. Just curious if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

I had some odd issues a couple times before I flushed out my atf. I don’t know if it was a fluke but It stopped happening but I wasn’t sure if it was from the fluid flush. I ran stock gears with 285s and 315s with no real issue though.

Does the rev happen in lower gears? When I had the few odd moments, they were 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Almost like if you rev hung and dumped the clutch on a manual between shifts.

Yes actually. I just had my ECU flashed by @JustDSM. On 35's and 4:56 and was experiencing a similar complaint. So far I'm a fan but it's only been a couple of days.
