05DFBCC9-3172-42D0-9092-4DC7187EDCEE.jpg Hey how’s it going everyone. Just recently got a Super White OR (wife’s) that we’re planning on building for general camping and exploring. I’m just documenting what I have in mind to keep me on track and hopefully get some feedback as well.

The wife and I are planning on doing a lot of exploring/camping on the West Coast and are looking to build it to suit our needs. Lots of plans for this build so we’ll see what it ends up looking like.

    Security:
    Blackvue 900x-2C

    Paint protection:
Full XPEL PPF wrap (minus roof)

    Near Future:
    Dobinson lift and UCA’s
    A/T KO2 285’s
    Method MR305 NV (matte black)

C4 overland series C4 lopro front bumper and high bull bar (TSS compatible) with high clearance add on
    Full aluminum skids
    (Budbuilt)
Rear dif skid (Budbuilt) not yet installed
    Roof rack (C4)
    Rear swing out bumper (C4)
    Warn winch (Zeon 10)
    Rock sliders (Budbuilt)

...probably more but I’ll come back to write it down.

    How it currently sits.

I’ve always loved the look as well.

    Why not KO2’s?....

It’s going to sit a little bit lower once all the extra weight is added on. So far I like how it’s looking.

Nice. My wife also drives a 5th gen white 4Runner. She loves it, especially with the 2.5” lift and 285s!

Ordered a Sherpa Crestone roof rack through C4 Fab and one of the crossbars showed up untapped. I called Sherpa and they shipped me another crossbar the same day. Pretty solid customer service. It was a pretty easy install overall though. Feels sturdy and makes it look a lot cleaner. F09B24A6-4643-4C8D-96B5-997DFCC36955.jpg

Is anyone in the market for an OEM roof rack? I posted up OEM wheels/tires, and suspension parts but there doesn’t seem to be much demand for any stock parts. All these parts are just taking up precious garage space.B3A8E501-2575-455B-A773-D6F376E1BE0E.jpgC43532CB-0A53-405B-96EC-898060AE0C8C.jpg

    Update as of Jan 7….
I got a bit of free time over the holidays plus some extra help and i was able to throw on quite a few things that had been delivered but not installed just yet.

I kept hearing about Budbuilt armor and the quality of their armor and was not disappointed when I unboxed them. The welds are beautiful and they bolted right on to the frame. C6A3DDE9-2B8D-4D23-8F7E-B134D3E2EC63.jpg 10A23530-50E7-40A2-8DD6-D46DE494C195.jpg
A4ACC813-8EFE-49E6-8DED-9ABB6BB9FFDA.jpg This is the only picture of the skids that I took and it was another easy install. I started the install in the front and the only issue that i had was due to my previously installed diff drop kit from Exit Off-road. A quick run to the hardware store and i was back on track. The armor also connects to the next piece As seen in the picture. I do wish they were a little more active on their Instagram/YouTube so I could get a slightly better visual on how it looked installed. Picking up the bumpers after powder coating. I’m still a little upset that there was no powder coating option straight from C4. Quick reminder for everyone to secure your tonneau in a way that it can’t fly open on the freeway. (Ask me how I know…)BCC71255-8275-49BF-B3D6-0FE832D6A344.jpg

The only thing I would do differently if i had more time/patience is prep and paint where the bumper would cover. Only reason for this would be simply aesthetics.
A few hours later of awkward lifting.

Forgot that I would need more lug nuts to keep the tire on..so another Autozone run for me.E0DC94AF-A47B-46D3-A161-ADCD53B4E59F.jpg
I didn’t take enough pictures of the front bumper but it was also raining quite a bit the entire time and I was too worried about cutting the bumper. I definitely think I could have ended with a cleaner fit but I ran out of time and mainly patience. Installing the winch was very straight forward but I don’t have any pictures for that. 5656F25D-B22B-48E2-BDBE-96D6E2F73CBC.jpg
Skycamp 2.0 came in so that needed to go on too. Install went by as smooth as it can when you’re lifting a lot of weight over a lifted 4Runner..53EBA900-84A9-4C9D-9540-B04C3C1DB70A.jpg
Got to play in some snow near Mt Hood National Forest. Actually got a chance to use the winch to pull out an older Dodge who’s clutch went out!2A7E69C0-5612-49BD-BA6D-17936926377E.jpg
Ran the wiring through the firewall and used these switches from CaliRaised for the clean OEM look. Had some issues with the buttons not clicking on/off and this was solved by adding 1-2 wraps of electrical tape around the switch. My big complain was that the switches did not come with diagrams and the videos that were on the website were not very helpful. Maybe I didn’t look hard enough? 7AE9F3DB-36F8-499D-A52D-4A304CBAA2EB.jpg8BCBBCE6-DF58-4CEE-8B14-A9F79BB92ED8.jpg
Installing some edge protector for a more finished look. E9F8863C-507C-4B72-BC04-8344A4C6E869.jpg
Edge trim installed. First time airing out the tent after a night in the Mt Hood snow. Now that I’m back down in SoCal I kept a fan inside and it was dry within an hour or so.

KC wire hider installed. I don’t like how you can see the wire crossing over though. Eventually I will take the plastic corner piece out and make a slot for the wire bundle to feed straight into the wire hider. 348BEE56-7342-444A-B3AC-852835695DD7.jpg

Haven't posted an update in a while. All of this was done a while ago but I wanted to update this post so I can keep everything on this thread.

Ive been working on storage for a few trips now. Started off with this and decided i wanted some drawers so I started doin some research and found some inspiration.

    IMG_9497.HEIC.jpg

I started off with this as a platform and used the 4 existing anchor points to bolt it down. I used longer bolts so that there was no drilling involved and it would keep this from sliding around. Might be hard to see but there are 3 supports that run underneath to accommodate the height difference around the wheel wells.
    IMG_9496.HEIC.jpg

I think i could have gone with thinner wood to shave a bit of weight off but maybe ill do that in the future. I contemplated getting a slide out rail for the fridge and deciding i didn't need that and i didn't want to have to dig behind the seats if anything ended up falling behind the fridge. I am trying to figure out a way to make the fridge a little easier to remove. right now its currently bolted down on 2 rails. 1 towards the front and 1 towards the rear. I had to install it by lifting the back end of the deck and reaching the nuts underneath that way.

    IMG_9495.HEIC.jpg

Dual batteries are in and I have transferred all of my extras to it. Including: winch, lights, and constant power to rear outlet.
