Thinking of upgrading my '16 OR suspension. Nothing crazy, 5100s, OME springs and AAL. Looking for a good shop in the Jax area to do the install as when I moved down here 3 years ago I sold a lot of tools and stands. Anyone have a place that they really like? I would hate to go to the dealer.

Just have a mod day at another member's house, feed them pizza and beer and you're good to go

When I upgraded my suspension, I bought the parts at 4Wheel Parts. Due to a lack of time and proper tools, I also had them install it. That was a few years ago.

When I need to replace the suspension again, I will be doing it myself.

Did they do a good job? Was worried about using them.

4 Wheel Parts? Yeah. It's been a few years now, and I haven't had any problems. I cannot remember how much they charged for labor.

The one I went to was the one on the Northside. The Atlantic Blvd. was not open yet.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I’m looking for place that can do a really good re gear on my 2015 OR auto v6. I’ve got a decent shop with a lift here at my house near Live Oak but no time ...or experience with Tacoma driveline/gears.

I don’t mean to resurrect an ancient thread, but this topic fits my question as well…

OP - who did you end up going to?

I live in Saint Augustine and was wondering if any Florida TW memebers might know of any people or places within 2 hours or so that they would recommend to help me install my new Old Man Emu full suspension kit that I just received from @HeadStrong Off-Road.

    Thanks all!

    What’s up Key!

I actually thought about checking with you after I saw your previous post and I remember you telling me that you’re often up to helping out fellow TW’ers with mods and stuff, but I wasn’t sure what your availability was like these days.

    How have things been going?

It's going alright, definitely got weird availability right now, closing on a house and will be moving soon but could probably sneak you in somewhere this month or I should be basically free in March.

Current off days kinda suck though, Tues Wed Thurs but that can/may change.

Sounds like Key Rei has you covered. I want to share some info on Jax aftermarket installation providers based on personal experience. I’ve been very happy with 4-Wheel parts off Atlantic. Great service after the sale and no problems with the shop. I use a guy who was with Toyota and is a Toyota Master mechanic, certified, etc. for anything complicated or very technical. He now works at Walt’s Live Oak Ford in Live Oak, FL. Andy Gonzalez. I had a Regear done in Jacksonville on the west side at Driveline Services, twice, after the ring failed once. They didn’t do a great job and they fried my brakes on my 2015 TRD or by jumping it incorrectly. It has a dual battery system and could jump itself if they would have called me! cost me over 3K to get it fixed. I think they specialize in larger vehicles and older cars….not Toyotas.
