So the two hoses that come up near the battery are overflowing and dumping fluid down the inside of the engine bay. Need help identifying the issue. I think they are connected to the power steering. 2014 2.7. 038C21BA-878A-4C90-8B4F-A753C467C37B.jpg

I believe those are your front diff and trans/transfercase breathers. As for why they're puking fluid.....couldn't tell ya. Only thing I could think of is you overfilled you're fluid level. Do any maintenance recently? Maybe check to see if your lines are clogged and it's over pressurized?

That's the breather hoses for the front dif, transmission, and/or transfer case, I can't remember which one is which @TnShooter probably would know.

Never seen a leak there. You sure it's from from one of those two hoses. An stated above, they are breather hoses. Did you recently flush ATF or front diff oil? Maybe you put in too much? If it were PS, the PS reservoir level would show on the low side.

I haven’t touched the automatic tranny and I did replace the front diff oil about 6 months ago and then moved to to a higher altitude of about +6k above where I lived before. Could it just be from the change in altitude? Thanks for the help so far, it was too cold to crawl under and see where those hoses went.

Did you put the correct oil in the front diff (75W-85 GL5)? There have been reports of it doing that if a heavier weight oil is used.

I don't think elevation alone would cause it. If the trucks parked on level ground try pulling the fill plug for you're front diff and see if fluid comes out. If fluid does come out just let her drip till she don't drip no more.

After reading over your other post,
I see you changed the front diff fluid.

I too changed mine, and it didn’t start “leaking” until a few months later.
Oddly enough it was when it just started to get cold out.

I either over filled the diff or the diff didn’t like fluid I used.

You can read about it above in the link I posted.

Well I had time to check everything this weekend and the front diff had fluid up to the fill plug. I’m not sure what oil I used but I looked it up before changing it so I’m thinking I may have used something slightly heavier than normal. I cleaned up around the hoses so I’ll check to see if any more comes out. Thanks for the help guys!

This happens to me on occasion. It occurs after running it in 4wd for long periods of time in cold/ very cold weather.
I am fairly certain what's happening is that the front diff heats up during the drive, then rapidly cools when parked. This can cause the fluid to come out the breather.
