    Hi all-

What's the go-to rear seat cover to protect the seat from dogs, gear, etc.? I'm looking for something that's durable, machine washable, easily removed if I want to carry people, and securely fastens (so it's not flopping around).

    Thx for your help!

I have this one from Amazon. It fits very nice, keeps the seats clean, comes off easily, and has been run through the washer a few times with no problems. Couple of clips around the headrest, couple of elastics around the seat bottom and a couple of tubes to hold it in the seat cracks. My only complaints are the side pockets don't really hold anything secure, and it's not a split back, so folding down the seat back to get to stuff is not very convenient.

Anndd.. I just noticed Amazon is out of stock. :(

I had also ordered this one but sent it back in because I liked the pockets on the first. Until I realized they are useless.

I started using the hammock type seat cover just because it better contains the dog hair. The one I have that I like is similar to this
    https://www.amazon.com/Protector-Wa...9&sprefix=truck+pet,aps,121&sr=8-1-spons&th=1
I also have one for the 4Runner that has a mesh panel facing forward between the front seats. I am not a fan of that style because for whatever reason it is always coming unzipped.
Note - I am hauling around an English Mastiff, English Bulldogs, and a Flat Coat - obviously not all at the same time :)

I have a very simple vinal cover. Basically two loops that hang off the headrests. Works fine as my dog tends to lie down and stay put.

I have an access cab with a dog platform and I got this one in regular. In hindsight the extra length on the XL version might have been handy/a better fit. There's also (slightly) cheaper ones from different brands that are probably exactly the same. I really like the zippered sides. Back when I got it, our puppy was about 6 months old and very barfy in the car so having the sides connected making this like a big fabric tub was super helpful. He's puked in it once since we got it and it's definitely waterproof.

This is the one I use also in the standard size. If you have cloth seats, the gray is a good match to the cement fabric color. I wish the zippered sides had a tad more support as I don’t hang it from the “oh-sh*t” handle.

I use this one in tan. Got it couple years ago when it was way cheaper tho.
It's huge and it doesn't seem to get dirty and doesn't soak, dog hair doesn't stick to it so vacuuming it is super easy.

I punched some holes to secure the back to the hardware around the seatbelt buckles. Without it anchored it's kind of unstable and not fun if your dog likes to stand up back there.

Damn, had no idea Orvis made that. Looks nice, like most of their stuff.

I have the Orvis one too. It's plush and my dog loves it.
But I might investigate that 4-sided one from Amazon because my dog killed the door panel on my last car.

I just got the Tesla OEM one for my Tesla and it came with door panel covers that has clips that slip in between the top of the door card and the window. There might be something similar sold separately that you could add to the Orvis.

We use one of the Hammock style with the Zip down screen in front also. Works great.

I bought this one from Amazon but I have 3 crazy misbehaved animals and would work ok with 2 if my dogs.
Gorilla Grip Durable Nonslip Dog... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y23675C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Then I saw one at Costco that’s a bit thicker and used the one from Amazon in my hubby’s 4Runner and the new one of course in my truck.

I've got a relatively cheap hammock type rear seat cover. I keep my rear seats folded down 99% off the time and put the hammock over that, mostly to keep everything relatively clean.
With the seats folded down, it is a bit more difficult to attach on the back wall. So far I'm using carabineers on the latches for the seats. Problem is the passenger side doesn't have a latch. I think I can get a longer bolt that holds the rubber stopper to rig something up.
Does anyone have any other solutions?
    Pic of doggos included.
