do not buy a cz aftermarket barrel they're not very accurate. Add another 50$ and buy Whisle Pig barrel it's lighter and shoot flatter/straighter more consistent round control.

Did some trading with my dad a while back got this ruger with this horrendous kit and cheap rds on it.
I was able to aquire a oem synthetic stock and a pic rail to mount a spare holosun I had it’s a fun setup.

 

I’ve got a rugged oculus in jail so I figure it’s a good time/excuse to give the old 10/22 a facelift. Put a magpul stock on yesterday.

It’s way more comfortable with the new stock and feels more like a real gun and less like a toy.

Up next is a threaded barrel. I’m thinking about summit precision but was wondering what folks experience are with them (and other bentz chamber barrels) running cheap bulk ammo?

this gun is mostly a plinker shot offhand 99% of the time so I’m not interested in running match ammo and don’t wanna make the gun too picky about ammo. It’s Not a benchrest gun and never will be so I don’t want a super heavy bull barrel.

 

Pretty stoked, finally in possession of this rifle. Simple little Henry 22. Will be taking it out with my boy to plink around.

A Bentz chamber is sometimes referred to as a "semi-auto match" chamber. It is a little tighter than a standard sporter chamber, but should digest just about anything other than rounds that use extra long brass (such as the CCI Stinger).

 

Thanks! I know it's between a sporter and match chamber, I was just curious about folks experience with bulk ammo in them because most of the reviews and writeups I find are benchrest shooting with match grade ammo which is a waste for me shooting beer cans and steel gongs offhand in a gravel pit.

I'm not looking for Minute of Angle accuracy more like Minute of Anheuser-Busch can.

I'd hate to get a nice barrel and it not cycle cheap ammo. Kinda defeats the purpose of my .22 for me, if I wanna shoot spendier ammo I'll just pull out one of the centerfires.

I dunno what barrel is in mine (it was a trade in gun I got a hell of a deal on) other than it's a "heavy" barrel I would have been happy with minute of that general direction with mine but it's actually a pretty decent tack driver, iron sights on it suck though.

Still better than the 10/22 take down I was in the store looking to buy that day, and fits in my hiking pack without needing to be broken down.

Fires with the stock folded too.
