    Peeps,
    Hello Tacoma Ppl,

Recently my 3rd gen trd sport (2016). Developed an issue where there is no feedback tone when I close or open the doors. I have check the head unit and it is on at max volume. I also checked with techstream and it is on. I went ahead and replace the buzzer near the headlamp and still no feedback tone. Anyone had this issue. Or a wiring diagram showing how the buzzer is connected. I usually park in noisy areas and the feed back tone helps me to verify that I lock my truck. Any suggestions will greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks

This feature is specifically user controlled through the head unit. I disabled mine. Only the lights flash now.

I can tell you its not user end, it's typically a fault in the lock signal.

Last one I had it was a wire from the left rear door to the b pillar that was corroded and causing no lock confirmation.

    Took hours to find.

Thanks, it is user controlled for sure. However it takes power from an ECU which sends volts to the buzzer when the door is open or closed. I was able to do a test with techstream and when I manual activate the buzzer there is no sound. So the next step is to check the harness or the ecu, since the buzzer is new.

Ok, I am using tech stream to narrow it down. I have an access cab. Tech stream is pointing to ecu under dash and possible harness. Will try to troubleshoot.
