So I finally can check this off my bucket list. Of course now I want to go again in a month or so to see some spring flowers.

I saw some on the side of the road here and there. Most of the road is in pretty good shape. Probably 66% of it is two lane dirt road.

been reading that they are making 18wheeler access, havent been out there since that started but what a shame. first time i ran it, 25'ish years ago, it was a remote and desolate place, barely a trail you could drive on snaking through a hostile desert. going out the over the years since then i watched it change, border patrol widened and improved much of the trail, and more recently the 'gram. now, if it is being accessed by 18wheelers, i just cant imagine.

its still an incredible place that i'm glad you were able to experience.

Just finished the CdD trail, Yuma to Ajo this morning. Aired down to 18PSI and did the entire trail in 2WD. Trails were in great shape, virtually zero trash and no people, not even Border Patrol. If you haven't seen the wall you will be shocked by its size, its engineering and how they ran it. Definitely an engineering marvel wether you like or hate it.

Yeah it's an easy trail now. I understand that wasn't always the case. I'm still glad I went, even if my son did lock the keys in the cab on the 2nd night.
