Brenthel trophy trucks and Kibbetech uses them on their billet links. Just search Gen 3 Brenthel trophy truck.

 

Just get soft jaws and take it off. Not very involved at all. You wouldn't even have to remove the shaft. And technically speaking unless you want to pay for shock rebuilds you may as well get the tools needed and soft jaws are one of them items.

Thats effectively what I was going to do, but the swing and placement of a longer upper link forces you to dump exhaust under the cab, which I'd rather not do...
So I'm thinking to 3 link instead

 

I don't see what you mean at all lol.... they Package their exhaust in typical bed space to prioritize link placement.

 

I’m stumped on exhaust too. I don’t think I can snake around my four link. I bought this little muffler from the parts store. I can fit it right behind where the stock exhaust bolts up under the cab and possibly turn down the end. Maybe it’ll be quiet enough and not stink up the cab…

 

Flip your headers upside down and run it out of the hood. Don’t forget your tractor flaps on it.

 

That or stacks disguised as dual snorkels plus sexually explicit mud flaps.

 

What about some small resonators on either side before the Y then out the back.

 

I’ll take a look and see what could fit. May just take it to a muffler shop and see if they can do something. Depends on how awful it sounds when I crank it haha

 

I run a bed and anything that dumps before or under it reverbs terribly... I still run rocks a fair amount so I don't think I could kick it out under the frame to the side.

 

Yeah there’s no way I could dump to the side. Would be nice though. I have the fuel cell plumbed so I’ll find out soon what I’m in for haha

 

You will not enjoy the noise. I just went from a Magnaflow 4" round dumped just before the axle and hated it. I went to a Magnaflow 5" x 8" in the same position and am SO much happier. You can still here it but its tolerable.

The 2.25" slides right into the existing pipe if you cut right after the flange and weld them together.

If you can, run it above and side exit right after the capped part of the original frame on both sides. you'll have to check clearances with your upper links.

 

Mount the shocks further forward on the axle, Maybe have ta tie the mount into the lower link mount a bit. Then add a plate towards the back of the stock spring perch and bump stop there

Yeah most race trucks run their exhaust right where our doors would open lol

 

On the return to center topic, going to fresh uniballs after my destroyed ones and driving the truck on the road today, it definitely resists returning to center a noticeable amount. Never noticed when the kit was new. And not really a big deal for me. I just remembered this comment from earlier in the week and it caught my attention today

 

Most of y’all will lol at this, but this is probably my favorite piece of the whole build. I bent and notched it perfectly the first time which was very satisfying given the learning curve with tube. Tying the sliders into the cage really felt like it unified the whole thing.

 

Well I certainly hope you understand that the resale value of that truck is just gone now...
