    I bought a 2hp motor a week ago the bore is 7/8". I cannot find a 4-step pulley with a 7/8" bore so I may end up returning it. I Googled "7/8 bore 4-step pulley" and got nothing. Does anyone have insights on where I might find one? The other thought is I will likely only use 1 speed, so maybe I just look for a single groove pulley with a 7/8" bore. This is the setup and it's the motor pulley I'm looking for. I have it set on the #4 groove.

    Never mind. Cross posted on another thread and found the answer is a 22mm bore pulley, of which there are plenty to be had.

    Thanks! They have a 7/8" to 1", which is shat I'd need. Now to search for the availability of 1" bore, 4 step pulleys...

    What a big PITA this is turning out to be. Cursory search and I didn't find a 1" bore 4-step pulley. These are some options I found so far, with the 7/8" bore;

    • A single pulley that's the same diameter as the groove I'm mostly going to use on the existing motor pulley (4") but it's die cast
    • A cast iron, powder coated single groove that is smaller (3.75")
    • A 5 step pulley that none of the diameters match existing, but are close. This one does not have any set screws so I'd have to drill and tap those. I don't have a tap set so I'd have to buy one.
