Overlanding Set Up - Warn Winch, and Several Off-road lights.
Looking to upgrade the battery system in my 2021 Tacoma. I have several overland/off-road modifications on the truck to include a warn Zeon10 winch and several external lights. After my last trip (got in over my head and needed lots of winching) I am looking to upgrade my batter and possibly my alternator. Right now I am looking at the Odyssey ODX-AGM31R battery and wanted to see if anyone thoughts on if this battery is compatible with my truck. (electricity is not my strong suit). I am looking for a battery with high CCA and high reserve to handle winching without burning out my alternator.

Right now I just have the stock alternator.

Why not add a solar panel to trickle charge your battery?

I’m running a hood mounted panel and it keeps my battery topped off, and I run lights, fridge etc.

That’s good but I think the issue is my winch. It’s those heavy loads all at once that just take it too low.

I did a dual battery kit. I have a warn zeon 12k and a compressor. Placed my second battery in the left rear of the engine bay. I went with a an AGM deep cycle battery for the second battery. Unfortunately no pics
