    Hi guys/gals,

wondering if I can use fog light switch from 2007 Tacoma in my 2013 Tacoma. I am installing fog lights and can get a deal ($55 can) on a switch out of 07, part number 84160-04010. New from Toyota dealer they are $100 for the 2013 Tacoma switch. Part number 84160-04020.

I did read one thread that mentioned only difference is the light in switch maybe different colour. Just looking for confirmation on that.

    Thanks

My truck is already wired for fog lights. I have the lights already but the aftermarket switches don’t plug in to the factory plug. I need the Toyota switch and relay then I’m in business!

Was your truck pre-wired for fog lights? Did the switch plug into factory plug?

    Thanks

Not pre-wired, or at least not that I found.

The fog light wiring is the same between 07 and 13 so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I think it’s the color of the bulb that’s different.
It’s been a long time since mine has been on.
But it think early models were Amber colored.

@Dm93 what color is your light?

I think my backlights are green on my switches but I'd have to go look to be sure.

    Pretty sure mine are Amber
I have paid any attention to them.
I never use them, so I can’t really say for sure. But I’m 90% sure it is.
