Purchasing first Tacoma questions...

Hello . I'm looking at getting my first Tacoma (and first pick up) and have a few questions...

I'm still trying to figure out the Toyota allocation process and am wondering if i should be looking at a high volume dealership vs one close by for submitting an order . I'm in Durham region and am planning on ordering a lunar rock offroad premium fwiw .

Fee's for Ontario I think I'm looking at this documentation 495 , finance placement 250 , ac levy 100 , advanced disposal fee 25 , freight 1890 + gst/pst . Does this sound about right or will there be any surprises lol or made up fees i should watch out for ??

I'll be trading in my JKU sahara so am at least upside on that deal considering resale values .

The dealers in this region can't submit orders. They are at the mercy of what Toyota choses to ship them. When dealers see their allocations in transit, they will list the inventory on their website as in transit. I think your best bet is to continually search dealer websites for a vehicle close to what you want and put money down to hold it for you.

 

I only paid a $500 doc fee plus freight.

Im curious if you bought a truck? I got lucky and Whitby found a truck in transit when I was at the dealership (it was somewhere else in Ontario) but they got it fast!! They also gave me a damn good trade in value for my Corolla ...
