    Ordering my first lift.

going to go with headstrongs kit.

    need some help.

    885 or 887?

single leaf or 3? Leave overload on?(Eventually want to get a camper shell or possibly a alu cab at some point) so don’t want it to sag

Uca needed if going with 887? (If I don’t need it, I’d like to save the money here)

this guy started with 885 and went to 887 with UCA. So wanted to hear other opinions. Want to keep it level if possible.

I went from 885s/1inch block in the rear to 888s/HS aal. SPC uppers were needed when I went to 888s.

With 885s/1inch block it was pretty damn level. Got a picture somewhere on this forum of that setup.

My opinion...do 885s if you wanna keep it simple or do 888s and get uppers.

    What about 887?

And what do the uppers do? New to some of this

I'm the guy who's thread you referenced.

UCAs help with alignments. When I was running 885 only and 3 leaf AAL with overload installed I was getting a lot of wear on the outer edge of the front tires that an alignment couldn't correct. Since I was going to take it apart and install the UCAs to correct I might as well have bump up to 887s

I'm still not level with 887s but the alignments are better, the truck tracks better and I'm very happy with the results. I think you would be happier with that also

If you want level go 3 leaf but remove the overload with 887s.

I went with the same lift with 887 and 3 leaf in the back. The alignment was fine with the stock UCAs. I took out the overload. I got about 2 inches of lift in the front about a 1 inch in the back. The front settled about 3/4 inch in the first month. I installed a front bumper and winch and it drop another 1/4 inch. I install a 1/2 inch spacer to level it out again. Now I am almost completely level.

to get it level with that, would
You say my best best is 886 or 888?

seems the 886 aren’t sagging as much

886 are a heavier spring rate than the 885, 87 or 88 so they're made for heavier weight up front. The others are the the same spring rate just different lengths to give more lift. I believe for length the 886 fall between 887 and 888.

I am running OME-885 and 1.5 inch tapered blocks. I got almost 2inches of front lift from the springs. Stock UCA but needed the ECGS front bushing upgrade.
