As far as that sounds I can't imagine it being any sort of comfortable

    Okay all,

I am ordering some Alcan springs later this spring for the truck. Was planning to put my Archive Garage bump stops on then; however I probably will sit under the truck in the rain and do them tonight. That said I watched a video on installing the Hammer Hangers. Huh, why would they make my life better I ask-I don't need an inch of lift, but like the idea of gaining an inch of drop... So do tell. I clearly want to spend not only money but time on this truck, so explain why I should do it. Thinking that when I do my springs it would be a good time to add the hammers...

I have Hammer Hangers on my truck. I felt it was a worthy up grade. They actually smoothed out the ride on the truck and reduced the rear end jitter and sway when going over bumps. Really feels like the rear suspension just works better. I would do them again.

Install wasn't too bad, took about 4 hours taking my time. I'd recommend getting the optional drill bits with the order also. they are shorter for getting in the tight area and sharp AF.

I'm sure you've looked at the hammer hanger thread but here's a link just in case https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tacoma-hammer-hangers-soa-sua-archive-garage.519625/

I did them on mine and I am extremely happy! Do it! with the proper tools it should only take a couple of hours. Pushing out the frame rivets is the only PITA part. Mine came out fairly easy for a 15'

Okay, I am wondering about the height thing. I am NOT ready to change the front yet, so needs to remain close to stock height. I see they have a set that leaves the truck stock height... but at what cost to the increased drop or ride etc. Any one know on this specific question? I will check with AG as well.

Yeah I was just on the website and now I'm annoyed that I haven't bought them yet... I'm also out of play money for the time being so it'll be a while :annoyed:

I have version 2 of the hangers and I think I only gained around 3/8" lift. You are correct the latest revision supposedly gives no lift. Ask AG any questions he is usually varry responsive.

Maintenance tomorrow and suspension on Friday for the 80, waiting on tires as well - meanwhile the cubbies are done and the top platform will be finished soon too.

Looking forward to a proper shakedown in April before the next series of mods/maintenance.

Anybody have recommendations an UCA's? I'm not happy with the alignment post lift and definitely need more caster.
I know I won't go wrong with SPC's but does anyone have experience with Dirt King or JBA?
Also looking for recommendation on a good alignment shop in the Milwaukee/Racine/Kenosha area.
