    I use the
90915-YZZD3 on my 2.7L. It's slightly larger than the D1. Fits fine on my engine. Been using them for 10 years now. Should be easy to find at your local Walmart or they're slightly cheaper at the dealer, oddly. Either way, D1 or D3, you'll be good to go :)

With that filter, what oil type & interval?

Same as what your owners manual specifies.

People use bigger filters because it makes them feel good. Just like feeling good from buying boutique lubricants and running 50% OCIs.

0W-20 Mobil 1 or whatever you want to use (Castrol, Valvoline, etc.) Mine specifies an interval of 5,000 or 6 months because they had a "sludge" problem in the early engines. I change mine once a year, now. I always buy the 5 quart jug at Wally World & it always gets me to full dot on the dipstick. Always check your dipstick, lol. :) Try not to overfill, better slighty underfilled. I've changed oil on thousands of vehicles, tractors, Mack trucks... never a problem. Good Luck!

I will add that it should say what specific weight of oil to use on the oil fill cap ;)

10-4...same oil I use along with a synthetic filter. Change mine about the 7,000 mi mark.

Was just wondering what the thoughts were on a paper-type filter with that mileage interval.

    Thanks.
