Anyone else run into this? Appears to be a power steering hose leak at the power steering pump. I have 80k on the odometer.

What is a fair price to have it fixed at a shop? No chance this is a timing belt cover leak, right?

All depends on where the leak is actually coming from. If its the hose a new clam will fix it, if its a seal or the pump itself then it will cost more.

I suggest you spray it down and clean all the oil from it then keep checking to find where its leaking from.

More likely timing cover leak, need's to be inspected closely.

It's more definitive from underneath with the skid removed.

I haven’t changed my power steering fluid ever and I think it can get that dark brown color with age. What interval are you guys changing out the ps fluid? Nothing mentioned in the maintenance schedule. I’ve been following it to a “t” and learning the hard way that it is way too lenient with all the fluid intervals. Don’t trust it! Do your research apart from the maintenance schedule.

My shop said to wipe it up and keep an eye on it. At the level it’s at it doesn’t warrant a costly fix right now.

As for the ps hose clamp in the pic. I want to replace it with something better/ stronger than the stock pinch ones. Any recommendations?

when my trucks extended warranty runs out i would wipe it clean with spray cleaner and trade it in.
they have to pull the engine to fix it, at least that's what i have seen pic's of. also horror stories of it still leaking after fix?

That looks like engine oil not PS fluid. Timing cover.
