    COOL Stuff I can't afford . . . But I bought anyway!
Do it. It changes the dynamic of the entire soundstage of the truck. It really gives a good overall sound and introduces more highs into the muddy jbl system if that’s what’s you’re running still.

Added sound deadening. Forgot to take pics of all the doors, but you get the picture. Havent done the roof yet, and don't know if i will. The Taco puts up a good fight. After the doors , i may need a skin graft, lol.

I’ve been thinking about doing this, not sure if bed liner on top will negate the sound deadening effect. I lined the entire tub of my old 4Runner with bed liner and really want to do the same to the truck. You’d be surprised at how much salt builds up under the carpet during these winters, even with the floor mats. Doesn’t matter which brand.

Lots of people in the NE, or anywhere else that uses salt, forget that a vehicle can rot from the inside out also. If you spend a lot of time and money to rust proof the undercarriage, give some thought to doing the other half! It goes unseen, so most doesn’t get caught until it’s too late.

Oh i agree. Most of the family is from Iowa. I personally am not, but when we visit i see the carnage from road salt. The bedliner would help in the spare tub in the back. But maybe under the seats wouldn't sit exactly correct? But, i've seen it on the interior of Wranglers, so it can be done.

The DIY roll on stuff works great. I took a B&D mouse sander to scuff up everything, mixed a small amount of dish soap in a gallon jug to wash everything, rinsed thoroughly, let it sit for a day then rolled 2 coats on. Little bit of work, but worth it imo if you live in the salt areas and plan on keeping the vehicle. Drove it for a couple days with just the drivers seat, talk about road noise! Here’s a pic I could find
