No thanks, I ain’t paying $40 for a cabin air filter. They even pulled the old one out and took a picture of it, said it was dusty.

The Honda dealer tried that with my Pilot. Unfortunately for them I knew that a chunk of plastic needed to be cut out of the glove box to get to it, which they didn't do, so it was obviously not my air filter. Morons.

The last few cabin filters I've bought come from Amazon...(I buy too much stuff there..but he needs the business) anyway they fit great and some kind of charcoal in there too. I was a little concerned that they might not allow the same airflow but seem fine.
I see if I can search the brand

If anyone is interested, please consider using smile.Amazon.com instead of just amazon.com. By simply making the change to your profile once, all future purchase automatically get a portion fo the sale price donated to charity.

If you don't know what charity to select for your donations, I'd recommend the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, but I'm biased. :)

On the subject of air filters, I bought a K&N air filter for my home HVAC 16x20x1 and ten dollar discount on the spray cleaner. Think it $35.00 total + shipping
Anyways the ones I was buying and changing out every couple of months were up in price to like $8.00 a piece.
The filter was delivered yesterday and looks like a well built and sturdy piece.

I need to change mine today. I’m gonna swap the screws out that hold the frame in. They’re hex head self tapping screws, but they make getting the filter in a bitch cause they rip the sides of the filter.

Mine is kind of a PIA too, but because it sometimes takes up to three or four stobs to get it to seat fully to the bottom. I hope this new one fits ok. I've even had to take the front cover off the air handler to get the paper elements all the way to the bottom. Time or two that's happened.

I buy MERV 13 filters from Fastenal (big surprise ) They cost about $1.77/ea for the premium. A little over $20 for the year is okay by me!

Just be careful.. a lot of units can't handle the higher MERVs.. heck some barely handle 8 let alone 13. Something to ponder and do your own research on especially for future readers

If you go to a big box store like Menards, you can usually buy them in a case of 12 for cheaper than individually

Irritation with the fastenal site - they have 20" and 25" for both height and width but return different results!

Pick the one that's cheaper and just turn the filter 90º.

We came to the beach last night to stay with my aunt for Cole’s birthday. Cool old tailgate above the dressing room.

Roofers showed up this morning, they’re doing the house. Lady working for us called this morning at 6:15 and said the register was down. I had problems with it yesterday but finally got it going. Had to get someone to come work on it, they had to take it apart and replace the keyboard. Costly vacation :annoyed:
