    So after a terrible experience with Maaco (we’re collecting pictures for a formal complaint so let’s not dwell on it) I finally got my new TC-2961 rear bumper mounted.

    Now I’m trying to get a license plate frame light off Amazon attached but I can’t figure out how to wire it up to the old license plate lights. The frame light has a power (red) and ground (black) wire but the oem lights have a green wire and a white wire with a black stripe. I’m not sure what to splice what to so I thought I’d ask before I end up breaking something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    USUALLY......white/black is ground and green power. Most of standards is black stripe is the negative wire.

    You could always grab a multimeter to test. Or more shadetree, grab a led bulb. Led bulbs just won't turn on with the wrong polarity.

    Green = Power
    White/Black = Ground.

    A test light would confirm this too:thumbsup:

    OP, PM @daveeasa, he could sell you a no cut adapter. Or is it too late?

    Out of curiosity, why do a lighted frame instead of new bulbs or new bumper plate lights?

    Ah, because aftermarket bumper. I see.

    I can definitely hit you with a plug and play option. Could just go directly from the intercept to the new lights. Or from the old bulb socket connectors. Tempting to go direct at the intercept and rip out the extra. If the bumper is meant to be permanent.

    Well currently I am laying under the truck wishing I had seen this before cutting anything. If anyone in the future sees this thread I hope they are not as impatient as me and get a no cut adapter for it.

    I can also do a cleanup replacement from the intercept to your new plate. I’ve done similar for others. Once you know lengths and the connectors on the receiving end. Or yank yours and send as a prototype and I can match it and look all pretty.

    But I have a bunch of other stuff I should be dealing with right now anyway.
