Does anyone else find the placement of the factory switch panels center and left of the wheel on the dash a complete hassle to reach? (Maybe I have short arms?)
The panel to the left of the steering wheel is is out of sight line and the panel in the center is blocked by the shifter and seems like a bit of a reach to get to when looking to switch on and off periodically.I want to be able to switch on and off without reaching forward with a flick of the switch near the shifter center arm rest.
I am considering mounting a switch near the center counsel ebrake ,storage box area. The switch would have relay and most likely use a toggle or momentary contact. Has anyone else mounted any switchs in this area? If so any pics would be a great help.
    Thanks to all .

I should add my truck is a SR that has all switch blank outs in place and has no fog lights installed from the factory. I plan on installing OEM fogs or possibly LED aftermarket fogs in the lower valance knock outs.

I added fog lights to my SR. I used the factory blank to locate the switch. There is a good forum on how to install fogs lights in TW, except I drilled and grommeted a new hole rather than try and run the wire through the hood cable release. Going through the cable release would have eventually caused a short. They make kits with everything you need. My cost $50. Took about 2 hours.

Should add not looking for a how to for the fog light install. Looking for alternate non dash switch installations from members. I find the factory dash switch locations to be for %&*! when it comes to switching on and off . I am a 32 year electrician who has been a hobby car guy for years including building track cars ,auto cross cars and hot rods.
    Thanks

What about the OEM stalk that has the fog light control built into it? Saves figuring out a button location.

Yes I watched that video for the stalk install. That looks a bit deep. It pains me that Toyota did not install that stalk on all models lol
    Thanks for the input.

Why not mount the switch in the overhead by the sunglass holder?

I completely agree about the button locations being a PITA to reach.

I went the above route, and have the ECT and Auto Highbeam button on the shift knob, but if you're looking for a simple place to mount a switch, see my REDARC switch location Here.

Also, see this post here for @oostroma relocation. @MESO also makes a custom single switch holder.

Here is @ClassyTacos install video
