New 2021 Tacoma Performance??

Hi Guys,

I just picked up my new Tacoma TRD Sport.....What engine performance enhancers can I do but still maintain the factory warranty? Thanks

Yes I did use the ECT it’s ok….. What does tune it mean?

I’m interested in doing that…

 

Look around the 3rd gen forums. There are ton of companies that are tuning these trucks.

Don't expect any crazy gains.

Or just go SC.

I have the same year & model.

Truck runs fine in my opinion. I've been here almost a year on TW and read folks doing some sort of adjustment.

I forget what it's called...some kind of aftermarket tune...that may/may not void warranty.

Other than that, moar pics of your Sport in warranted! lol

I went and got a throttle controller from Soler Performance, was pretty cheap considering the pedal commanders are like 300 and up I only paid 190 for this one and its a very good mod to do and keeps everything under warranty which is nice. And its got Bluetooth so I don't have to just use the little display the entire time. I would consider it since they are priced nice and perform really well.

And I just read my reply (which was from April) and I was researching Tunes.

I chose to GO with with OTT.

 

run high octane gas and let the ECU advance the timing. that's a free, easy, performance mod thanks to VVTI. it takes a while for the ECU to adjust so don't expect an immediate change. if you use an OBD reader/scantool you can monitor the progress.
