Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Yeah, it's a pretty nice spot, and close to home for me.

BC is filled with literally thousands of spots like this, almost all accessible by 4x4. I've driven through half of regions in the province now, well over 500 trips and counting.

For me, a 4x4 is just the means to get to these kind of spots. I don't care to dress up my trucks or spend money on them. Not my thing. In the past 35 years I have had 4 different 4x4's, all purchased just to get me into the remote wilderness. The sight's and destinations are the draw. Nature, man, nature... :)

No kidding I didn't know this was a popular spot. Was up there 2 weeks ago with my kids. Stopped for lunch at the same spot! We were going to Borrego Springs tomorrow but youngest is sick (not covid).

Kronk21 what size tires and brand/ratings are you running? I see your other mods in profile but wondering about tires.

Went to Tahuya today to test out the new front locker/couple other armor reinforcements. Took a pretty hard hit to the front bumper (fell off of a 3 foot rock straight to the front end) and banged my jaw up lol.

E rated? Any hit to acceleration, breaking, MPG that you noticed (assuming no gearing change or OVtune)

Not sure the rating I’ll look. I did lift tires and camper at same time and ya Mpg took a dump. No gear change but I did do a cvc tune.. the tune makes the truck accelerate great! Don’t notice anything on the braking. But I’m a heavy boy always loaded up and all the steal protection on the truck.. it’s not a daily driver..

JW Corbett Wildlife Management Area in South Florida! Funny first experience offroading, got stuck in the first trail, it was deep mud that I didn't realize was that deep. Thankful for our jeep buddies/rivals, he got me out haha.. I definitely need some maxtrax, recovery rope/winch, and a shovel before I go again.DSC08453.jpg

This was at sunset beach, just north of Seaside. There’s a stretch of about 10 miles you are allowed to drive on the beach.

I had a friend on facebook reply to one of my offroading pictures with "That looks like a road".

It was. It was a dirt road. Dirt trail. Whatever you want to call it. I replied it doesn't need to be some gnarly trail to be called offroading.

He said "cool I went offroading with my civic this morning on my way to work."

He totally missed the point and I can say that his civic would have been wrecked on the easy to moderate trail I went on that day with a stock Tacoma. Sure it was just a few sections accounting for 1% of the trail, but he still wouldn't have made it. The easy stuff can often be the best.

Yeah I remember your post a while back, it’s a fun spot for a super quick run. You def gotta get out to coyote canyon in Borrego. Really fun out there with the water crossings and what not

Slick Rock MTN Bike Trail outside Cody, WY. Not to be confused with world-class slick rock in Moab, UT. If you have the Trailforks MTB overlay for Gaia GPS you'll know right where I was at. From slick rock the trail gets super gnarly super quick and goes to single track so I had to back out and double back. Crazy fun trail though.

Very pleased with how my stock TRD sport behaved with only a Hellwig 980 to help with the additional weight from the leitner and decked setup in the bed.

We were going to do the sculptures trail and font's point today, something for the kids and something for me, but youngest is sick and wasn't up for an all day excursion, despite the promise of Dunkin Donuts in Romona and Pizza and Pie on the way home in Julian. Desert is heating up over the next few weekends so looks like we might be waiting for fall.
