This is a little difficult to answer b/c it's gone through a lot of changes and things have been sold and bought so net cost is hard to figure but I'll give it a shot.
    Lower:
bcm blem factory lower with pnt trigger: 375. Sold the stock for 40 and grip for 17. Added sba3 brace w/ split fix (70). added pws castle nut system (25), armaspec srs h2 buffer system (45), radian talon ambi safety (40), magpul grip (15)

    Lower Total: $513ish

    Upper:
Started out as an androcorp 10.5 upper. (300). sold the barrel, rail, gas block for $200
Added BA 11.5 barrel (120), geissele gas block and tube (30) fail zero nib bcg (100), raptor CH (65), surefire sf3p (90), bcm mcmr 10in rail (140), dd front sight (45), kac rear(80), holosun 503g (120), reptila mount (60), holosun 3x mag(130), rail cover (20), karve hand stop (15), streamlight light and arisaka mount. ($100)

Upper Total with optics and sights $1215.
Upper Total for just upper, bcg, raptor ch, and sf3p. no accessories: $645

Of course there are cheaper ways to accomplish this and also more expensive way. Hope this helps a little if any haha.
This gun runs very well and eats everything you feed it..

edit: i didn't mention its previous form with different rail and muzzle device that was sold off as this is it's 3rd transformation.

2nd edit: all the prices listed are what I paid and were either on sale or bought 2nd hand. Some were great deals, some were okay deals but none were retail. Paying retail for all that will obviously increase the total.

If you like magpul stocks and also like the b5, the magpul SL stock is a good stock to look into also.

The Magpul STR is very close to the same fat cheek weld as the B5 sopmod as well.

I think the magpul sl-s has the same thicc cheak weld as the STR. The regular SL is lighter/slimmer and more low profile I believe. I had the STR and went to the standard SL b/c it was not as bulky.

WOW, I didn’t expect that detailed of a reply but appreciate it. So if wanted to build something like that I’d have to expect to spend around $1800 - $2000 and hunt for the parts.

For that much of course you could buy something quality off the counter. The ones of us who build is more for the process and experience, and obviously to buy specific niche brand parts lol

Keep in mind my gun with a standard bird cage, ch, safety, buffer and basic avg. Magpul stock and cheaper handguard would be well under $1000. Its all the stuff you upgrade that starts to add up. To build a solid set up from scratch with deals can be way less. I essentially built a bcm 11.5 on a budget compared to new and the only difference is the barrel. Which I'll eventually change to a bcm also. I already have a bcm upper receiver coming my way I bought today on gafs for $70 and I'll probably sell my androcorp one for around the same price.
An over the counter BCM 11.5 without optics, standard bcm ch and flash hider is going to be probably $1300 alone.

If I were to do it again, I'd find a deal on a bcm complete upper and build a lower like I did with my other 2. Mk18 upper and ddmv7 upper. Both complete and less than $1600 for both upper combined.

If you like the tape route but hate the sticky residue, get ahold of some gaffer's tape. Awesome stuff with no residue.

Now that's a gun that looks like it gets used! I see a lot of "pristine" looking guns on this chain. What's the use of having a gun of any type if it doesn't get used. An unused and unpracticed gun is more of a "concern" to me to be around that type of shooter.

I use all my guns except for one prized one. I just don’t beat the :censored: out of them. Why would you spend hard earned money, take the time to build it and then abuse it

Same here. I run all of my guns regularly, I’m just a stickler for keeping them clean, oiled and always in the safe or case when not being shot. At the range, I lay out a blanket to lay all my firearms on, so they don’t get dinged or scratched.

Looks can be deceiving! I will not buy top shelf parts if the lower or mid shelf parts work for my application.
