    I didn't replace mine, I just added another one in the same switch panel. Which may not work depending on the trim level and options you have.

    If its not broke, then don't fix it, ha. I wish Apple would go back to making them. Was the best mp3 player available. I don't need any apps, just let me easily listen to all my music in one place.

    Haha I had one in my Tahoe back in 2006/07 set up the same way haha. Still got the iPod battery is just dead in it now.

    The old school ones are surprisingly easy to crack open and replace parts.

    When I was in highschool I used to buy broken ones rip them apart and franken them into working ones and resell them.

    I'm sure you could easily get a new battery for yours if you cared to fix it.

    Not going to lie I had an Ipod like that one, (actually the U2 one. I had no idea who U2 was I still kinda don't just liked the dark back and red wheel) and while I did love it, I was always jealous of my buddy's Zune.
