What Are Your Least Favorite Songs/Bands

God I haven't thought about Hanson in so many years, they made one of the worst eyeworms of all time

 

Slayer. I just don't see the get the fascination about them.

 

Beastie Boys, and because it's that most wonderful time of the year, Pentatonix. I swear hearing their Christmas music makes me rage-angry and I have no idea why because I love Christmas music. Anyway..

 

I like lot's of types of music. Real music that excludes much of what's generated these days. One Direction (I had to look them up) is in that category.

 

Pop music has been churned out for decades sir, why pick on just one?

 

Because that's who was noted in quoting my post. Relax, there's plenty of music to go around for all. You don't have to like what I like and I don't have to like what you like....either way, no harm no foul.

I'm a old school metal head form the 80's. Still very much am.

I can't stand:
* Grunge
* "alternative"
* New Wave
* Disco
* Artists that start off as one genre, just to break into the business, and then completely change to Pop/Top40 crap to rake in the $$$$$ (Taylor Swift tops the list, unfortunately LeAnn Rimes is also on this list).

Slipknot and Corey Taylor can go pound sand. Can't stand them.

 

Olivia Newton John, Paula Abdul, Prince, Katie Perry, . . . The list just goes on and on.

 

"The Wall" is my favorite...Wish You Were Here/Dark Side of the Moon are also good too. I bought Sticky Fingers on CD way back when but only liked 1 or 2 songs...I have to look at the song list. lol

As for Rush...Caress of Steel has always fascinated me. I have all their CDs from Rush 1 to Roll The Bones. Moving Pictures was played a lot in the Dorms at Williams AFB, AZ...I had Cerwin Vega speakers that "wailed" The Camera Eye as well as Tom Sawyer, YYZ, and Red Barchetta. The lyrics of Limelight were at the core of Neal Peart's personality...and I absorbed it!

As for the topic of this thread, I could name artists/genres that I don't like but I can't be bothered right now.

 

I hear you and looking back I kind of regret my original post. Not because I'm a fan of that music but because I am a fan of all kinds of music in general. We all have our favorites but in honesty I just love music.

I think I went off on tangent because of what you did like and others didn't.

For some reason, people can't get over Geddy' voice...I'm fascinated with it.

And Peart's lyrics, no matter how strange...were impactful in thought. That's probably what made me like them so much.

I wouldn't last thirty seconds...Hotel California sounds like a shitty Yelp review. Mirrored ceilings. Pink champagne.

 

Least would be nickleback and Justin Bieber

 

Oasis. Their songs get stuck in my head until I'm ready to kill myself.

 

On my daily ride I usually listen to rock music. I don't like the opposite. Like, you know, Justin Bieber and stuff. Maybe it's because of my age, but I really like Scorpions, ZZ Top and other old rock bands.
