    Foster season has started. Clarification: we are volunteer fosters for Texas Humane Heroes and this cat family foster effort is all part of Texas Humane Heroes of efforts as a no kill shelter. We took in a very shy/feral mom cat and her 7 kittens, mom cat is hiding under a dresser but her kittens are sociable and vocal. Working on eye infections and waiting to see what other health issues they may have. 3.5 weeks old, bottle feeding (or trying). The are cute as can be!

    I don’t want to take anything away from the amazing work Texas Humane Heroes does for the pet community. Their efforts are way bigger than us, we’re just part of the volunteer community.

    I’ll resist the temptation to post too much, but the first 24 hours has gone well. Momcat is still hiding but the kittens are very sociable and doing well with people. 2 are eating a little bit of wet food and the other 5 are “interested”. All the kittens are very vocal which is hilarious when you walk into their room.
