It really wasn't hard with them in the truck. If I did it again I would still leave them in.

I loosened the front seats to make getting under them easier. Left them in the truck though. Would do the same again

I just unbolted in truck, it was easy enough to maneuver around

Wow. I just finished reading all 261 pages. It took probably 8-9 days, and my wife hates me now lol. I’m waiting for a 22 Sport to be delivered, so I’ve just been reading a bunch on TW to pass the time. Can’t believe I actually stayed dedicated to reading it all!

I also can’t believe how many people were not even willing to put the most minimal amount of effort into searching the previous posts for answers to their questions. But at the same time, it’s nice of everyone who responded to actually give a useful answer rather than a redirection to find the info on their own (nice community here!)

For anyone just popping in, this thread could have been 40 pages long if you cut out every single question that has been asked 35 times or more:

    • PVC vs Leather?
    • Grey vs Black?
    • Clazzio vs Katzkin?
    • (mrproduxn’s $560 Coverking Neosupremes for his wife’s 2016 Escape)
    • Where can I get these covers?
    • (Nobody responded to questions about dogs until page 153)
    • Do spills go through the perforations?
    • Do airbags work?
    • Do stock heated seats work?
    • Are these just covers?
    • Does anyone have (___) combination?
    • Do they add height?
    • Does Tacomaworld still work?
    • Did you remove your seats for the install?
    • What cleaner should I use?

Anyway. I’m definitely going to buy a set of these. I would love to buy them now so they’re already here when I pick up the truck. I’m just hesitant in case something goes wrong and the truck somehow never comes, or the dealership pulls some slimy price adjustment on me that they’ve already said isn’t going to happen (even though another dealership did that to me after lying over the phone). So, I’ll send an update once I have the truck!

I would do it with seats in the truck again for sure. The covers are not hard to install it just takes time patience and a few beers.

Some guys I work with saw my truck for the first time yesterday. Everyone couldn’t believe they were seat covers.

why would you not unbolt the seats? It’s insanely easy and proved to be critical for me. If you don’t remove them your going to be tightening the straps and string down on critical electrical connectors, wiring, sensors, etc. I had to string mine through strategically to not damage any of them. Would be absolute hell by not unbolting the seats. And you’ll probably damage something...

I'm in camp removal. Fronts, rear bench, and rear backs, everything must go. All pieces were so much easier to manipulate, get straight, and tuck in neatly when it's done on your living room floor.

It takes all of 90 seconds to pull and unplug one seat, and it saves several minutes of the alternative labor, bruised knuckles, strained knees, and a fuckload of curse words.

Plus it's a good opportunity to properly clean. The seats should get a good cleaning before the covers go on (unless they're new) and it's good practice to give those otherwise unreachable parts of the floor a good clean once in a great while. ... Just like we should clean under our sofas and refrigerators once in a while. Keeps the old truck from smelling like wet dog and stale french fries, ya know? :anonymous::cookiemonster:

Did mine in the truck. I have to assume its a bit easier removing the seats. That said, mine are nice and tight. If I had the choice again I definitely wouldn't do it in the truck when it's 80 plus degrees out.:bananadead: sweatin like a mo fo!

Appreciate you reading through every page and got to say I'm impressed. So, what's the best cleaner/conditioner for the leather? :D

All I can say is, I just used orange oil to clean, followed by McGuiar's leather wipes to polish. That was probably not the way to go. Interior of truck is now a citrus flavored slip n' slide.

These really look amazing but here's my only concern... Are they worth the money for the comfort upgrade alone?

honestly, comfort to me has been extremely degraded by the additional material. The stock seats felt perfect for me and with the covers they feel very meh. I will say however that I need the pvc covers as I’m always getting into the truck after sweating profusely, so I’ll probably deal with it. Hopefully they will break in a little bit as well.

I'm the same. The left bolster feels less supportive than it should be with the cover on. It's slowly getting better, but it's not quite there yet.

Still worth it, the covers are so much easier in keeping the truck clean during camping trips.
