I was looking at the crosshatch pattern. Sadly that amount of carbon build up on the pistons and at the top of the bore is normal in todays engines. You can thank the EPA and the emissions equipment and the change in fuel make up.

Sheesh I would hope not… mine has had an aftermarket tune on it that has obviously been running a bit rich

 

Nope I've torn open many engines in my career that's pretty normal. Between the egr and the pvc it dumps a lot of carbon deposits into the engine. With todays new direct injection gas engines it's even worse around the valves now and some are much worse than others to the point of needing a top end rebuild prematurely. No lead in the gas and now with the forced required mixed ethenol fuels the chemical make up of the fuel is different and it doesn't "wash" the engine as well. Running doesn't help any but it isn't going to be the only or worse contributor.

 

More than likely. I'm gonna start with a YHM R9 for the EPC-9, then get an Energetic Armament Vok for the 300

 

Been looking for the fox again this year, thought she wasn't coming back. She showed up today to get left overs, she made a lot of trips to get it all. I guess she had her babies in the woods this time. For the past 12 years she has had them in my front yard every year. She has had 3 to 5 every year. A couple years ago there was three litters, 13 total. Maybe the babies will come up in the yard so we can see them this year too.

JBA upper control arm ball joints are shot. SMH!

 

If you need to get a set quickly 2500 chevy pickup ball joints are the get you rollin' replacements until JBA sends you some.

 

We were going to replace with

$28 Moog k6292 Front Upper Suspension Ball Joint for Chevrolet K1500

Moog k6292. That should work correct? That’s what Advanced had. Any issues in leaving those on till time to swap out again?
