Has anyone compared the jackery drain time using the lighter output versus the a/c plug for the fridge? You would think it's the same but between the differences in electronics I'm wondering if one is more efficient than the other.

I use the a/c plug and keep the jackery plugged into the bed outlet and the fridge plugged into the jackery in the bed. My Diamondback fits so perfectly on the CX40 that there might be a few hairs width between the top of the fridge and the cover so it doesn't move around back there.

The AC uses more output, as it’s converting the battery’s DC to AC using a converter, then the wall adapter is converting back to DC.

Lighter output is already DC, thus more efficient.

Really wish the 40 would fit under the OEM cover...

Anyone have these? Worth pulling the trigger? Seeing the price difference on size isn't all that much... Should i get the largest or the 40?

My 40 fits under my Diamondback cover FWIW..just perfectly, it doesn't even move around. I love mine, it works great. Only problem I'm seeing is that since the tonneau seals so well there is no good exhaust for the hot air being expelled from the compressor and it gets toastyroasty under the cover. i may need to figure out some kind of exhaust system lol...

Yea the Diamondback is legit! OEM doesn't extend up so it won't fit... but to your point about being in the back, didn't really think about that. May be worth just keeping it in the back seat.

These coolers are back in stock for $80 off @ Costco again if anyone is looking. I might pull the trigger, since @NorrinRadd said the 40 fits under a Diamondback, and that's what I have, should be perfect.
Sick of hauling around my massive 120qt Coleman Xtreme5.

Yeppers, and I use my Jackery 500 to keep it running back there, and keep the Jackery plugged into the bed outlet to keep it charged while driving. Now, the *only* thing I've noticed is that in the summer it gets freaking hot under the cover because it is nearly airtight. And the exhaust from the fridge makes me worry about overheating the condenser motor...so I'm trying to think of a way to exhaust the hot air from under the tonneau without cutting a hole in anything. Ugh, there's always something...

I know not as convenient, but better to put in the back seat? I ask cause I will most likely go the back seat.

It fits back there and I used to do that but then I got a sub woofer and lost an inch or two of side-to-side space and that was just enough to prevent the suicide door from closing completely. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_13694658/JL-Audio-Stealthbox.html

I bought my CX50 from Costco last week. As soon as it was delivered, I stuffed it with bunch of miscellaneous foods and drink, then plugged it into my Ego Nexus powerstation with 4x 7.5 batteries. It lasted 36 hours before the battery went out. Considering the room temperature here in Los Angeles (65°~75°) when tested, I think it will last 48+ hours in colder environments.
