Is it possible to screw up the oem connector on the 3rd gen mirror light? I've done this install 4 times now and this is my 5th, and for some reason I cannot get the damn light to come on. I bent one of the pins a tiny bit once and straightened it out. No biggie. But I think I screwed up the connector. Can I just replace it if so?

Is it possible to push the pins inside the light housing? That doesn't seem to have happened but I wanted to ask. It feels like a connection is being made and the male connector is balls deep as they say.

Can I blow a left (drivers) side only fuse?

    DAMN!:frusty: DAMN! :frusty: DAMN! :frusty:

Sup Big Dawg? Long time! The connector on the truck, drivers side mirror, for the turn signal in the mirror.

Call me OCD, but I remove the cover, and light and blow it all out every year. Then put some ant spyder spray on the cover. We get em' bad here.

Thanks for checking in on the old guy

Hey thanks, excellent diagram! It's the connector that plugs into the turn signal light shown.

I always have to walk away from things when I get frustrated. I also had to go to P/T and normally could knock this out in 10 minutes. I initially installed them in a parking lot.

So fresh day, I'm calmer, and after I walk my dogs at lunch in an hour, I'm going to take the other side apart (it's ok) and see if I can get it to work on the driver's side and vice versa.

I just hope it's the connector and not the light I fkd up. I'll solder the wires to the light if I have to.

Ok....... guess all I needed was to calm down like I did. Went out after the walk at lunch, took apart the passenger side, moved the light to the already apart drivers side and it worked. Did the vice versa to the other one and it worked. Dodged that bullet I suppose. Moved them to the correct side and voila. Worked. First try. Like it always does. I was done in less than 5 minutes.

I suppose in the long run the switchbacks would have been a nice replacement had I screwed up the light itself. Oh well.

Thanks to all of you for jumping in though. What a great community. :fistbump:

Thanks. Me too. The wife backs my mods but when their my stupidity she's less forgiving.

I'm still working on the "You know Honey, the sequential type. Just how I like on Mustangs" legal defense line. Right now it even sounds like BS to me so I have to polish it up a bit more.
