So the junk fake tweeters from Toyota you replaced with Actual JBL tweeter. And I like your speaker choice too.

So you need everything basically in the spoiler list. The mounting brackets and the expandable sleeves too ?

Pretty much. Here's what the stock JBL tweeters look like:

Yup. This worked for me. I installed everything in the spoiler list, except the dynomat. I desperately need that! YMMV

(Note, there are two choices for the front 6x9 component speakers in my list, but you only need one. I went with the Infinity ones. Also, I may still install the tweeters in the sail-fin door panel, but daisy chain off the dash tweeters)

Can you upload pics and/or diagrams on how to wire the new DSP amp with the factory amp? Seems that's the missing link and I can't find anything on how to add an amp to the damn JBL system. I'm eventually going to pull the whole thing out, but now have new front and rear speakers...fronts are Infinity with a crossover, but with the JBL system, can't figure out how to add the crossover in using existing wires. Ugh, what a PITA the JBL crap is...

Will work on that. Spent hours on it and a few phone calls but got it working.

    This sounds awesome,
Im usually not one to tear my vehicle all apart unless i need to do so, but i really want to change the speakers out, i can live with the sub being what it is, just upgrading the speakers for now is what I shall do.
Im thinking Kickers spears and tweeters.

With the DSP amp and a Polk Audio 8" sub, it almost seems like its a 10" sub. I put the Polk Audio sub in the stock housing and covered the stock plastic box with antivibration.

Just want to say thank you to everyone here especially @TacoManOne and @RyanDCLB. Ive been struggling with these speskers since i got my Taco last year, didnt see any real solution besides doing a OEM audio system. Its embarrassing that they label those speakers from factory "jbl";I know its only jbl in name but i cant help but feel like i got scammed. Thanks a bunch.

I've done everything on your list except the front doors. I'm looking for a 6x9 and everything seems to be disconntinued or out of stock.

I'd prefer to not have to buy an expensive kit and then only use the 6x9's, which has been my delay so far. Would the
JBL Club 9632 be a reasonable alternative or does anyone have a decent source for the JBL or Infinity previously referenced?

I won't bother soundproofing these two front doors until I have everything to put them together right, and once.

The problem with the JBL Club 9632 is that they are not a sealed 6x9 subwoofer, and that they have mid and high speakers. JBL dedicates the door to a woofer without any frequency for mids or tweets. I tried the JBL club 9632 speaker, but it lacked so much that I thought there was something wrong with my stereo. :notsure: That's a big NO for me.

Amazon is listing the JBL components at $200. (I'd get the JBL over the Infinity because they don't have the copper trim. In the future, I'd like to piggyback off my dash speakers to install tweeters in the sail fin panel on the door, with the inline crossover before the tweeter.)

You might try something like this or this (< you'll need to buy two) as an alternative (verify 2 ohms). :notsure: Although, just by looking at the magnets on the back, the JBLs seem far superior. GL!
