Anyone familiar with county road 70 in Polk county? Between hwy 270 and hwy 88. I wanted to take the scenic route home last weekend and that was quite exciting.

Used to run those roads back when the Contras were there. That got interesting.

@E.J., did you go back to the OEM cab mount bushings? I'm wondering if mine are rotting out as I've got some popping/clunking sound that I just simply cannot find. Can they be checked for wear without taking them completely out?

If my mystery sound isn't the cab mounts, then I don't know. Then only thing left to check after that is motor mounts:spy:

Yeah I went back to OEM rubber. You could try rocking the front corners of the truck (like you'd do to test the shocks/dampers) and see if the noise happens.

Well only 1 person can drive 1 vehicle each, and we have 3 people in my 4 person family that drive Toyota’s. So technically they could enter too. o_O

Of course.. Just no Ford, Chevy, or four-letter words from Stellaris.

Actually, the MUD site event is one of the better sites for editing posting info from sponsors.

I need a little direction. Got a trip to Colorado planned for July 23-31. My better half is going with me, so dispersed camping is out. However, she has agreed to hit some of the trails. We had planned on running the Alpine Loop, but 7-8 hours continuous off road might not be the best idea. Would I be better off trying to run a few of the shorter routes in and around Ouray/Telluride/Silverton, with breaks in the action for lunch in town, etc? I'm just glad she wants to go, so I don't want to ruin her on her first trip out.......

We're staying 2 nights in Ouray, but adjustments can be made if necessary.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Animas Forks is a place where we stop for lunch often. Yankee Boy basin is good to hit from Ouray.

Ouray will be absolutely a bonkers madhouse and covered up with SxS and people. Yankee Boy Basin will be too, but it's incredible in there. Governor Basin is less traveled and more technical. Shelf roads in there are exposed and have some pucker factor, but its a nice loop. You'll be right at Imogene Pass, too. Enjoy. It's fantastic.

I'll be staying in Silverton Lakes Resort, July 26-31, with my youngest son.

Last I was with a group but went out and did exploring on our own using the book.

I ordered this book when we started talking about the trip. Though about downloading the app to go along with it, but didn't want to pay the $60.......
