What I dislike about my Tacoma is the baggage that comes with it.
    (Toyotas customer service).
That is why I bought a Mazda this time after owning Toyotas since 1989.
They make great cars and trucks and I really do like mine and intend to keep it forever or at least as I am still around.
We were very disappointed with Toyota with our 13 Sienna and then again with my 17 Tacoma. The vehicles are great but Toyota pulled a fast one on us over replacing leaking struts and the steering coupler while our Sienna was still under warrenty claiming they did not need replaced. They were leaking at 20000 miles but as soon as the warrenty expired they wanted to replace them at our expense not theirs. I hit a deer with my Tacoma and it had to sit for 2 months waiting for parts because they kept sending the wrong parts. The body shop even made me take my truck home because it was in their way.

Amount of body flex when off roading. The Access Cab Doors make all sorts of fun sounds when you get the frame loaded up diagonally.

Lack of torque climbing hills. i70 grade in Denver is the bane of my existence when fully loaded for a camping trip.

I don't care about going 80 or 90, and so don't care about S6. Instead of two overdrives, I'd rather have had an extra low 1st gear, as an option.

I hate that the audio always defaults back to the radio. Always needing to press the mode button 2-3 times for it to go back to blue tooth

i would prefer a more powerful inverter system and bed light built in third brake light fixture.
e locker system engagement is frustrating.
the oil filter- how about spin on like all the others?

other stuff like: payload, standard load tires, noisy door seals on access cab, lack of skid protection, exhaust crossing low under transfer case, rear diff breather all make me wonder about trd off road hype.

I think the seating position is a little weird. Sits super close to the floor almost like a sports car. Took a long time for me to get used to. Also... I wish it was just a litttllle bit faster.
