What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Bent both spindles slightly, blew out both inner tie rods, wore out an outer, and more leaky on the steering rack. Fun day at the dunes though seeing what the limit is!

Pushing it to the limits! Awesome! At least you can identify and rectify the situation. Wish I had that ability.

 

Cut some trees. Killed some snakes. Picked up a conceal holster for the 40 cal.

 

Im used to the almost indestructibleness of one ton axles, so set out to try to break the ifs just so I know how dumb I can drive! First time really hitting whoops so all the damage was most likely from the learning process when I was slamming the front end like it had hydraulics

 

Just did a few minor things while waiting for parts to arrive.

Eliminated a little chrome on the steering wheel. Little by little all you chrome haters are converting me.

 

Isn't it funny car manufacturers think of it as a selling point, and we always just cover the chrome up haha. I have the black out package on mine, I just wish they would have done the inside too,

 

I think chrome still has its place. Classic car or maybe a modern sports car, sure. On a truck not so much. If Toyota would have at least had some symmetry or flow to where they put the chrome, maybe, but the places they have much of it just looks out of place.

 

Love your mods! I also have the red interior lights. It’s such a simple, inexpensive mod but it makes it look completely different, especially at night!

 

Will he be face planting the back of the front seats, possibly the back of the center console?

 

I just barely got my sliders. Once I get my high clearance rear bumper I’ll probably get over confident and do the same.

 

That looks like it would buff out except for the fender flares.

Do you make anything with the skins or save the rattlers? I'm as bad as Indiana Jones when it comes to snakes.

 

Sounds like you came close to the limit! Will you be replacing some parts in front end now? Which parts?

 

Road side swapped the tie rods, doing the steering rack sometime whenever I get around to it and just going to add a little more plating to my gusseted spindles since I dont think they are too bent/can compensate with the Spc uppers for alignment.

 

Very nice setup. Its always cool to see the self made solutions!

2" Eibach Stage 1 with Taco lean spacer, 1.5" AAL, 275/70/17 Yokohama MTs on 17x8.5 -10 SCS Gen 5s. There was no rubbing till I got it aligned the other day. Have yet to really check it out, but I don't expect major issues.
