From this post it appears they are not removable, apparently as an improvement on the original design which he claims could get dirt trapped between the ring and the wheel. Personally I like the removable rings on my TRD beadlocks because you can paint them to really change the look of the wheel or take them off completely and you can replace them when they get too beat up, but that’s just me. Really wish they came in 17’s or the FN’s had removable rings. Such good looking wheels.

The Toyota rings do trap a ton of shit in behind them. Also trap mud, snow, and ice in the face of the wheel behind the ring (the accessible part without removing the ring) really throws off the balance haha

    Hi All,

Just wanted to share the following. I have the oem TRD Baja's in 16s. I really like this design and look for my black 2002 4runner. I am glad FN offers this style in 17s because I always thought it would be cool if the Bajas came in 17s. Today I called Dustin/ FN on my way to work to inquire about ordering 5 of the Spec B wheels. I received no answer due to being closed for 4 days per the message on the answering machine. I did NOT leave a message because I am lame haha. 3 hours later I received a call back from Dustin. I was surprised and kind of thrown off because I wasn't expecting that after NOT leaving a message because I am lame haha.

Dustin was very friendly, upbeat, and super informative. I can say I too shared the same experience as others on this thread that have dealt with him. He asked me which wheels I was interested in, asked me about my vehicle, provided me more info about the wheels and options. I told Dustin that I came across these wheels on this thread/site and attempted to order them on FNs website but saw no option to do so. I also informed him that others on were interested. He asked me to send him this thread link and stated he would drop in and provide more info, support and assistance in placing an order.

Dustin put me down for 5 FN Overlanders Spec B in Gloss Bronze with the machined ring. Call him up, dont be lame like me and leave a message or text him. Dustin FN

So does he have them in stock but not on the site? Or does he just produce them set by set when people ask? What’s he charging?

Dustin is currently working on another production run at the moment. I too asked about the pricing and referenced the pricing in this thread. He mentioned prices in the thread are outdated as production, shipping and costs in general have all gone up. He did assure me that the prices won't be outrageous and too far off last pricing. The more of us that order/show interest will help with the pricing.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye open to if they become available again. I really love my 16" TRD "beadlocks" but there are just so many more tire options in 17" that it's hard not to want to step up to that size. I've been casually on the hunt for a used set of these Overlanders. Figured if I find a set I should jump on it so I have 'em later if needed.

Same here, I too love my brozne TRD Bajas but tire options are limited and 17' tires have more options at a reasonable price.
Send Dustin a text with name, email and wheel choice you're interested in and he will let you know availability.

Yes. All FN wheels are hub centric for Tacoma's and 4runners. I can also vouch for Dustin. He has the best customer service in the business. I called him and ordered a set of 5 stars and he remembered a conversation we had last year. Also when I first called my work phone rang so I had to hang up really quick. He texted me back and got my order set up. I can't say enough nice things about Dustin and FN wheels. They get my vote for best vendor in the toyota world of aftermarket parts.

Thats good to know. I wouldn't mind a set of these in the near future. I have methods I feel like every tacoma has them and SCS are impossible to buy. These wheels seem like a great option!

I run the OEM TRD Baja 16" (285/75/16) on my FJ and have experienced some dirt trapping and balancing issues with mild/moderate off-road use.
Being able to remove them to clean or repaint them is fine but I personally would rather not have to spend the time/money doing it.
Id love a 16" option with -5 to -10 offset but can appreciate the 17" size offers more compatibility (including my wifes GX470 which runs 17" SCS F5s).

Any one know if Dustin can do the "beadlock" in bronze? IMO, the black beadlock blends in with the tire and non-beadlock doesn't create enough depth.

Edit: Not my FJ just examples from an old Ih8mud post.

That should be pretty easy task if you have a powder coater local to you

Agree it wouldn’t be too difficult just curious since the rings are offered in a black finish maybe bronze was also a possibility. Even if it was only a couple hundred bucks to get the rings coated that’s time/money I can’t spend on another mod, you know the game lol…

definitely following this thread. I love the look of the Baja/Beadlock wheels. So is it safe to say that they are still in production then?
