Sometimes I really don’t like the mismatched shells but I am really digging yours. Nice find, looks awesome!

 

Found this Raven tall camper for $300.
The interior was lined with torn up, disgustingly dirty carpet, so I ripped it all off (the amount of dust that filled that space was astonishing), then pressure washed, primed, and painted the interior shell.
I was surprised how much the paint shops wanted to paint the exterior, too. Anywhere from $1200-$1500! So I'm gonna just leave it green for now!

 

Here is my lovely ARE shell. I love it but I'm actually selling it. Does a GFC count as a shell?

 

Sounds like one of those quotes where they really don't want/need the job so they over price and if you bite it's a win. I usually see guys post they pay about 500

Damnnnnnnnn well I bet its going to look amazing. Did you get one with the Windoors??? i must say having the windoors is so dang handy. If you know anyone im selling the shell and the tent.

 

Yeah I’m hoping it’s gonna look good! I got the aluminum windoors with the T handles on the sides and the back window will be the normal glass.

Customized it with a toolbox on the driver’s side only so I can secure important stuff in there on trips. The passenger side windoor will open straight into the bed; Yakima racks up top. It’ll look exactly like this one but obviously black….


I’m so excited but I ordered it in February and they still can’t even give me an estimated ship date

Dang I actually like the aluminum side doors. probably better for insulation, deterring theft, and durability.

IMO it looks fine in dark green - but sanding and spraying with bed liner in the color of your choice can be done relatively easily/quickly and for about $200 in materials.

Is this a Prinsu cab rack you have? - I have the same shell and this looks nice. Is the rack installed pretty much the same height as the bars on the shell?

 

Can anyone tell me the roof weight capacity of the ARE mx?

 

Do they make that in the HD and non-HD version, or is there only one option?

 

Yep. It's also flush. I had to buy some thick pieces of rubber to install under my RTT in order to leave a little bit of a gap so the truck can flex a little with no issue.
