No brainer here - You should purchase a new SR or SR5 2WD instead of your uncle’s ash tray.

Maybe one of you can help me with this? I was just now checking the oil and topping off the washer fluid when I noticed that the coolant was below the "LOW" mark; It normal the last time I checked it. It is in the 90s today, and I spent most of the morning and early afternoon driving around with the A/C cranked. My truck showed no signs of overheating and there are no signs of a leak, either. I topped off the coolant, and the truck is still running fine.

a little coolant leak/use is no big deal. I'd just top it off between the hi/lo marks when the engine is cold and continue to monitor. Take note how much you added and where the mark was at cold to trend it.

With the engine cool, just fill the reservoir up to full.
You could also check the level in the radiator itself, but I’d suspect it’s full since the reservoir wasn’t empty and the engine never got hot. It would not hurt to do a visual check under the hood to see if there is a leak.

if you don’t see any signs of a leak, Fill it up and keep an eye on it.
I wouldn’t worry about it just yet. You recently had frame/engine work done, sometimes you can get a bit of air in the system that takes a while to get out.

The coolant reservoir is vented so you'll lose a tiny amount from evaporation. Your probably ok. If it's a sudden drop, it could have been a bubble trapped in the radiator. After sitting overnight, pop the radiator cap, make sure it's full and the reservoir should be at the bottom line.

Also, my dad had me stock up on premium for use in the snowblower and the portable generator a couple months ago; The snowblower is definitely not needed right now, and I don't think we're gonna lose power in the foreseeable future...

As such, I don't feel like blowing my entire budget for the weekend and there's no use letting perfectly good 93 go stale, so I topped off the truck! :D

I run 93 octane 100% gasoline in my saws and trimmers.
For the mowers, I use 87 octane 100% gasoline.

    For the stuff I know I’ll be storing for 6+ months it’s alway 93/100% + Stabil 360

My truck never sees anything but 87/E10

As others have said fill the coolant reservoir to the full line with the engine cold and keep an eye on it.
    Here’s a good article:
    https://rxmechanic.com/how-much-coolant-should-be-in-the-overflow-tank/

If I remember correctly, back in the day some vehicle coolant reservoirs had cold/hot lines, and depending on temperature you went by that. Not generally true these days it’s usually Low-Full or Min-Max and with the engine cold you fill to the TOP line. Here’s a post I made with pic:

@PennSilverTaco This evening a very strange looking small van pulled out in front of me, the rear end was bashed in so no identifying badges. I would swear by first glance that it was some sort of a Nissan product but to my surprise as l passed you could see a large Chevy badge in the grille, any idea to what the heck was?

Chevy City Express; Rebadged Nissan NV200 built in cooperation between GM and Nissan. I believe the Chevy version has a Nissan motor, and I don't think they still make the Chevy version.

@PennSilverTaco picked this up yesterday. Was my wifes dads old car who was a pastor. I charged the battery last night, we had to break the steering lock to get it on trailer because they lost the keys sometime after he passed away. 1993 festiva standard trans, i got it started today surprisingly. Interior is trashed

Do you have a title for the car? A Festiva can put a Prius to shame in terms of gas mileage!

I drove a few when I was working at the detail shop; They're not bad vehicles, but they're kinda pointless. They were built to be an easier-to-drive and more fuel-efficient alternative to a full-size van, but my Tacoma can probably hold more...

We are going to slowly rebuild any thing that can break and get it road worthy. We will have to file for lost title. But shouldnt be too bad since it under her dads name still. Find out tomorrow when we call county offices.
