The door buzzer and seatbelt buzzer drive me nuts when I’m moving the truck short distances off of public roads. I found this video on removing the speaker that emits the sounds and it was incredibly easy. That being said I’m considering reinstalling the speaker with a simple breaker/switch so that it operates normally for daily driving.

Oh, its an extender! Neat. I thought it was just a dummy buckle so you didn't have to use the seatbelt

Update. This does disable the lane assist alert as well. Reverse camera alert with cross traffic operates normally. I’ll post images/vids when I get around to reinstalling the speaker with a switch.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
Does this also disable the annoying "you shut the engine off with the door open" alarm? How about the "you shut the engine off with the moonroof open" alarm?

I’m not sure about the moonroof buzzer but it does take care of the "you shut the engine off with the moonroof open" alert. I’m currently looking for a toggle to fit in the standard opening without any writing.

^^This. Why rip out the speaker when you can just turn off the setting.

So you are able to use that obd scanner WITH the carista app? Do you also need the carista subscription? Thanks

I bought the Carista branded ODB2 scanner because it included a 30 day trial of the app (or something like that... it's been a while and could have been less). The app does have a subscription fee to unlock the ability to change settings. Big warning from when I used it is to make sure you cancel the subscription as it auto-renewed to an annual one on me.

I just asked my service advisor on the 2nd free oil change to turn all that shit off, they also changed my blinkers from 3 to 5 pulse too. "My dog doesn't like to buckle her seat belt." :notsure:
