1995 Tacoma Frame Rot

Read through all the rust and frame issue posts. WOW! I've been driving Totoya Pickups since the '80's. Owned 2. Company had a fleet of 12. No frame failure or rust issues on mine or theirs. I put hundreds of K's on mine. Now I own this used '95 Tacoma 2WD standard cab which has a rusted out, broken frame. Looking for options to make a decision on whether to repair or not. Safe T Cap ad says products fit 1996 to 2004. Is the '95 frame different than '96 and up? Are there any other fabricators with products similar that you guys would recommend? Thanks for your time.

 

The Tacoma technically started in 1995.5.
Commonly referred to a “95 and a half”.

If your truck is a “Tacoma” the frame should be the same?

Just how bad are things?

In my case a 5 lug 2wd this old would need to be in perfect condition besides the frame.

To think about any repair.

For Safety Caps/Auto Rust not being a vendor the sure get lots of plugs.

 

Yeah you should probably post some pictures, SafeTcaps works for “moderate” rust in sections, you’ll see a lot of Tacomas floating around whose frames are beyond help- the frame rusts from the inside out so you really should hit it with a ball-peen to see the true extent of the rot.
