    COOL Stuff I can't afford . . . But I bought anyway!
So yet another A/C drip line mod for those who haven’t already read one.

I got this sweet kit from @Vorra65. He’s making the aluminum fitting and packaging it with everything you’ll need.

I must say, I wish all aluminum parts were machined this nicely.

1:Zip tie the included hose to the small end of the fitting.

2: locate oem a/c drip line. Passenger side fire wall, next to exhaust manifold.

3: insert large end of fitting into oem tube and use second zip tie to hold in place. Don’t skip this zip tie, it will fall off if you do. 347B9AC1-5DD7-4675-8E69-42642959A46B.jpg

4: Route the tube down through the splash guard to the outer fender. Stay away from the exhaust.

I had some lock tab zip ties and used one of the splash guard holes to mount to.

I then routed the tube down through my CMR and tightened the zip tie.

And Done! Hope this helps anyone.

If you want one of these kits, PM @Vorra65 and he’ll ship one to you. It only took 2 days to get mine.

    cheers!

$40 or $42. Can’t remember. It includes shipping too. Totally worth it, fits first time, no fiddling with hose adapters. Took 10 min to install.

I bought the parts at Napa for about 6 bucks, but that looks pretty nice.

I honestly applaud the entrepreneurial spirit on display here (i.e. see a need / fill the need)! But $42 bones for basically a custom machined aluminum rubber hose connector that no one will ever see seems like a bit of a stretch?

$42 and I didn’t have to make a trip to the store. True, I could have researched all the right size connectors, and hose. And yes, it is a very simple mod. But at the end of the day, I didn’t have to leave the house, had time to do “domestic” stuff and supported a TW member. Supporting “local” “small business” is always more pricey, but hey, you do what you gotta do, $6 or $42 it doesn’t matter. I don’t mind putting my $ in someone’s pocket that needs it more than Napa or PepBoys, or any other big brand store. So, in my book, it’s a win win.

If the ac condensation is rusting your frame better not drive in the rain, or wash the under carriage. :D:D:D

I don't think its a good idea for any of the line to "go smaller" which is what the aluminum fitting is doing. More likely to get mildew blockage in the line. If anything you want the longer line to be larger. It will work fine as long as the line is clean...which won't last forever.

This was my thought process too. Got a clear piece of scrap tubing (after finding the correct diameter to fit over the stock drain tube in the sticky post) for free from local rubber supply store and bought a hose clamp from them. Didn’t want to neck down the drain and liked the idea of being able to see if there’s a blockage in my “modded” tube
