2018 SR5 Automatic... Backup camera when putting in reverse the screen would just go black. Un hooked battery for 30 minutes now when I put it in reverse nothing on the screen changes it just stays on home screen. When I go to settings it's like my whole camera has been un installed. There are no setting options for camera. Any ideas? I've searched forum and could find a post with similar issues. Thank you all

There's a connector at the bottom side of your tailgate on the passenger side. Possibly two connectors if you have a power tailgate lock. Unplug and replug both of them or just the one if you only have one. Maybe it's oxidized a bit and the camera is not getting good connection.

Unplugged both and they look fine. My camera isn't even showing up in the settings anymore.

Thats interesting. Mine does this from time to time (black screen) but I attribute it to my any time back up camera.

If you're still in the warranty period and you don't have any modes like the Any Time Backup, I 'd suggest taking it to the dealer. I know that the OEM cameras are quite expensive.

Bump, did you ever get this fixed? My 15 had the exact same behavior. I did extend my harness maybe 2 years ago to relocate the camera to my spare tire but haven't had an issue until now.

My head unit was the issue..I swapped out my head unit for a T10 unit and it's good to go.
