Why don't people like the push button start?

you can edit the relock function in the head unit. i'm sure you can turn off prox unlock as well but i forget. i do know i changed it to prox unlock all 4 doors instead of just the drivers door. it got annoying walking up to the truck and hopping in and then seeing my wife standing there like "wtf let me in already you moron"

 

I am pretty sure this can be done, but must be done by the dealer per the owner's manual (meaning OBD access probably):

 

I was thinking of just unplugging the handles… however I have carista and it has the option in there so I’ll give it a go n the next couple of days.

Just tried via Carista. I changed ‘stop monitoring for car key signal’ from 5 to 0 days and the touch sensors continued to work.
Maybe stops monitoring after x amount of minutes, hours or whatever. But it definitely doesn’t just stop monitoring.

Pretty easy to just pull the connector out of the handle though and disconnect them. Shall try it next free time.
