So a little back round, I have been a life long Toyota fanboy and have owned 5 Tacoma's 3 Tundras and 2 fjs. Most currently however I am in a Ford Ranger xlt with Tremor package. I tow my atvs and sxs on an 18' dual axle pj trailer. at most i would say the trailer is at 4k lbs loaded up. I also do several solo rd trips a year with my raptor 700 in the bed of the truck. The tremor tows and hauls great and the torque from the Eco boost and the 10 speed trans is great. I currently have an opportunity to get my name on a trd pro Tacoma at msrp and find myself torn. I love Tacoma's and have always wanted a pro taco. I just don't want my love for Toyota to blind my decision making. 1 minute I say to myself ill keep what I have as it does what i need it very well, but then I look at a 22 pro and get gaga... but I dont want to make a poor decision based on a fascination. Another thing is besides the towing ability and payload I don't believe the tacoma has usb charging ports in the back seat and rd trips with the kids makes this a necessity. When I had my past tacos I never towed more than 1 time with them and I don't recall to be honest how it did. What do you all think?

I know this is a Tacoma world and we are all a little biased but please try and be as un biased as possible in your advise.

In my experience the ecoboost Rangers are a much better and more enjoyable towing vehicle than the Tacomas.

sortof stock. 6112/5160, pro wheels and a tune.
i havent posted in a while, but i also went to a ranger for the reasons above. it had more power, better mileage, towing, and seating position suited me better. I DO REALLY miss the massive aftermarket.

keep the tremor, its a awesome truck. it will do everything the pro does, and you can use your locker anytime. pre wired switches are nice too.

as much as i loved my tacoma, i never felt comfortable towing anything over 2k with it, especially with my family.
