    Hey Everybody,
The original exhaust on my 2006 4.0 Access Cab Long Bed has rusted through (PO put on a non-stainless cat back system), and I'm looking for a replacement. Many recommended going back to stock, which I am inclined to do.

I found a used one from a 2015 TRD Sport 4.0 4wd DCSB for a good price. The question is, will it fit?

According to Toyota, the P/N of my exhaust is: 17430-0P010 and then needs the gasket to the cat pipe 17451-0A010
On the same website, the P/N of all 2015 Tacos is: 17430-0P011, so I am wondering, What's the difference? What does that last digit mean?

Additionally, I am curious, whether there is a TRD Pro cat back system that would work? in case I do have to go new, that could be an interesting thing to consider.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Dre

I don’t know the answer to your question.
But are you looking for “performance” or a “budget” system.

I personally could care less about sound or performance. (So long as it’s not worse performance than OE) I’d probably go down to my local exhaust shop and have them run me a pipe(s) and muffler.

are you asking about gasket size? go to the auto parts store and see if they are different sizes.

I'm trying to find out if the pipe will fit on the truck (length, bends in the correct places, etc). I assume they're both 2.5" pipes

No, It will not fiit. Toyota changed the design of the catback exhausts when they redesigned the 2012 Tacomas so be careful when you order an exhaust. 2005-2011 exhausts will not fit 2012-2015 models and vice versa.

Access Cabs and Double Cab Short Beds have the same frame dimensions so their catback exhaust systems are interchangeable. 127.8 inch wheelbase.
Double Cab Long Beds have a longer frame so the catback exhaust will only fit them. 140.9 inch wheel base

Toyota did make a stainless TRD Catback exhaust for 2nd Gen Tacomas. The part number that fits your truck is PT910-89061. But they are discontinued and really hard to find and if you find one shipping is really expensive because its one continuous piece.

StockTRD, you rock! Thanks! I had a feeling it wouldn't fit, but was still hopeful. I thought (hope) the regular exhaust system is stainless, so it will last, but your post makes me doubtful. There's one with P/N 17430-0P010 on Amazon for $375 delivered, which seems pretty ok, esp when compared to the dealer at $786 for the same.

Dang man, you weren't kidding about the shipping! I found a PT910-89061 for the same price (actually a little cheaper), but they wanted almost the same amount to ship. Ouch. If only I were in NC (as in North Carolina and not NorCal)
