It's a pretty sweet patch of land these people got up there. Its near the 4 corners area and sits on top of a plateau with those views. They'll have a nice setup for sure.. and they are doing the same thing.. Some couple selling their place in Cali and starting a Homestead on acres of land in the middle of nowhere. My kind of people.. lol

And right on! Let me know if/when you roll through. I originally grew up near Prescott.

Totally understandable! defiantly just excited to get another option other than the Shitco ones (which are nice as well) just a bit more than id expect to spend however understandable for a small batch operation. Id be inclined to be a tester even if you just sold the blocks alone, the other bits of the pieces arent hard to pick up.

No issue at all. One morning (I didn't have my coffee yet) got everything packed up or at least I thought I did. Drove 2 miles down the trail with everyone looking at me funny. Turns out I never shut the tent.....

Haha, I've done that a few times. Walk around the truck to make sure everything is packed up. Get in, drive off, then have an oh shit moment when you realize the tent wasn't closed. Even hopped on the freeway once. Can confirm it handles 65mph pretty well, it was the rear door flapping that caught my attention. Fortunately that one was around 6am so no one witnessed my stupidity. No issues in any of those cases. :)

Nice looking truck! I was parked in the very back of the lot(near the entrance) with an AT Summit in raw aluminum. Saw so many wedge campers(and truck campers in general) on my trip. The view up there was amazing, right?

Blasted by dust today. ONLY place i didnt put some sort of seal was/were the sides of the tailgate.

Any suggestions? I have one or two more nights in the SP before im back home.

Had to empty and blow it all out w the arb compressor tonight at a hotel.

Did 100 miles offroad today. Super dusty trails.

I saw what i thought were horses at first at the peak of a mountain, but i think they were mule deer? Effing huge.
Then 2 fox later, and a black bear running like it was scalded after i came around the corner.

And, last nights camp site was ideal. So nice, no bugs, stream.
The fish went back into the water.

I was woken up at 6am by what i thought was a dog, it would bark 3 or 4 times, then sound like it was being choked out. Coyote?

Kane didnt give 2 shits about that noise. But 2 nights prior in the Gifford Pinchot national forest, he would stop, and stare into the forest and not move. Thanks buddy, making me crap my pants.

I have maybe 25 percent "too much shit with me."

But, i used the AC one night, Twin Lakes campground in WA, dont bother going. Super muggy, swampy campground w tons of bugs. Thank god for the screen room. AND the AC. I actually got too cold and turned it down. The dog was content w that AC going as well.
Dont mind half my head. I have some really strong suction cup hooks i hang a fan from, blows the cold air downstairs. Those fans are worth every penny btw. Glad i got two.

I hear you, I still have to seal the corners of the bed (cab side) to prevent water coming in

Where does water com in? I never had water come in with my inexpensive tonneau cover. I assumed the SP would be as good.

I ran the same stuff down the sides of my tailgate as well. I'll get some pictures when I get home if needed still. The front corners under the bed rail have small gaps that can be filled with Butyl Tape.

FYI regarding water leaks at the cab end of the bed. I sealed the corners with butyl tape, but I had small leaks occur between the cab end cross bar and the composite bed, where the 4 or 5 torx bolts are. I just used some silicone to try and seal it up, but haven't had any rain yet to see if it works.

They actually sealed that area on my truck. I can take photos if anyone wants them. I already had some small squa5foam type inserts in that area from my tonneau cover and we left those in as well.
