If you did not get it I’ll look up what I got on Amazon. I think I was the first one to add it.

When I wanted to mount my MaxTrax to my existing rack, I just ran a bolt through the side panel and ran a long threaded bolt through it. Then I put a large washer and nut on the outside, then mounted the boards and secured them with a threaded knob similar to this....
    https://www.amazon.com/Innovative-C...num+clamping+hand+knob&qid=1656691855&sr=8-23
Here is the exact one I used (used to be available on Amazon)

It doesn't lock, but so far no issues. Total cost was under $50

I was 20 mpg before install at 55-65 mph. Now 18 average at same speed. When running at 85 mph through WY, it dropped to 16 average mpg (light quartering tail wind).

Here's something I just noticed this weekend. Paint seems to be peeling at the back right corner, seems the rivets must be loosening a bit and allowing some movement between the corner pillar and the side panel. Not too pumped since we only picked up the camper on 5/23/22. Most likely nothing more than a cosmetic issue, but still a bummer. Anyone else seeing this?

That's my dirty Tacoma at install. The X1 is grey with the grey tent. I love how it looks on the truck.

Are these from SP? I would like to get my hands on these mounts for my Gen2.

I believe they are a new version. I had asked about them when talking to SP about my build. If I understood correctly was told they would still use the current "tie-down" clamps and these would be optional. It would be nice to have these as the look more substantial and not adding a 3rd clamp/side as I've seen in other posts. Sure others in the know will add to info.

No, those dont exist. Would cost too much i was told at my install. They, SP, are still working on an alternative mount.

Those mounts wouldn't work for 2nd or 3rd gen Tacoma's anyways.

I was thinking of a way to give me a tad more room when out with the dog. And i think i have a solution. Interior hammock for the dog, back 1/3rd ish of the camper. Ill make it myself, i can sew and what not. Guess i should ask SP how much weight the interior tie downs can hold. Or plan B. Make a shelf.

Anyone happen to know this fella?

Super Pacific Switchback X1 Walk Around and First Impressions - YouTube
    "Scenic City Adventures".

Did some looking around but doesn't look like he's been around for a while. His FB last info is from January and looks like his website got hijacked. Closest owner to me I think (I'm in NC) and would like to talk to him. Great ideas and information here but would be good to see it in person.

    Thanks

He has posted in this thread. Don't recall a TW handle, maybe search back to around the date of his last youtube/FB posts for his build. Then PM him.

Hey, just putting this out there. I got the email my camper is ready to start production, but I'm not in the financial position to move forward with it right now.

Would anyone be interested in buying my deposit/spot?

Just wanted to share that I picked up my X1 on June 24th. Launch code #297. Loving it so much. Camped down the coast of OR and CA on my way home to San Diego. Made the trip with my 73 year old father who was a champ. Utilized a bed platform and mattress on the bottom for him, while I slept in the tent. Lots to do, but planning to keep it simple. Looking to get some lighting, solar hookup for a portable power bank, etc.camper.jpg
