A bit frustrated. The only shop in my small <15k person town did a great job installing all the materials I sourced. OME heavy leaf springs & bushings, sumimoto bump stops, bilstein 5180’s rear and 6112’s front, SPC UCA’s, @05Taco4x4 ’s new bearings and hubs, and replacing a lug that sheared on my rear wheel housing. After inspection, everything looks good, except there’s a 4” rake. Ground to bottom of fender flare in the front is 35.5” and in the rear measurement is 39.5”. The front shocks were accidentally set to 2/5 instead of 4/5, but that won’t make it relatively level. Being heavy leafs, I thought there might be ~1” rake, but no where close to this bad. Just ordered a 3/2 leveling kit and as part of that install will fix the shock height setting. On the bright side, this should position me for 35's...

Speaking of which - if anyone knows a shop that is familiar with a Cab Mount Relocation (CMR) or ECGS bushing swap that's relatively close to Amarillo,Tx then please pm me! Open to making a weekend trip to TX, CO, NM or OK.

shout out to @weld_taco on IG - just saw the collab video on YT and those welds were CLEAN. Not driving to Cali for a CMR though.

If you don't have much weight in the back then the HD leaf pack from OME is going to be to much. I have it but I also have a topper, tent, drawers always loaded and a bunch of other stuff. I probably have about 600+ lbs on the rear end and I don't have any rack at all. If anything I need to upgrade my leafs to something stronger.

I went with the Red i think it looks a lot better imo. It matches up real good with the paint and adds a little flair rather than just all black.

Got my diff oil changed last night. Made a hell of a mess on my driveway and the pump I bought was crap and started leaving before the first qt was in. And that diff oil is some smell shit! Especially the old crap I took out.

Appreciate the feedback. I guess I envisioned the OME leafs would stay relatively the same height whether I was carrying 0lbs or 600lbs, and that was a dumb assumption.

You can always take the packs apart and take out the overload leaf if its to high for you. Then add it back in if you ever go with a heavier constant load.

Yeah I got one of those I was just being lazy and didn't even lay down cardboard lol. Also the hose slipped out a couple times which flung oil everywhere. I'm a shit show sometimes. (who am i kidding most of the time)

I’d move the inlet hose up and over the master cylinder, otherwise oil will just start collecting in the lowest point. For the outlet it’s not a big deal really

Finally installed my tow hitch after the por-15 treatment. Should’ve gotten new bolts but they were still usable. If I had the time, I’d take this truck apart and por-15 everything..

Man this sucked... BAMF hangers. I'll install my new leafs/ BAMF shackles tomorrow, I'm over it. Thankfully I borrowed my friends compressor and bought an air hammer. Worst install by far but I'm excited to feel the improvement3C8DDA93-482D-4B99-BEB6-61CE19A901CE.jpgD3FBCFAA-C152-45E6-9318-5E19BCECD2F9.jpg45DC94FD-4A8E-48DD-A954-5D78087EAFA2.jpg
