They're poisonous to the touch, right? You can't really handle them at all? I think they're among the prettiest frogs in the world! I have personally had African Dwarf Frogs and a Pacman Frog.

Not exactly. In their native lands with the diet they have there, they ingest toxins from insects that stay in their system and make them poisonous for other animals to eat them. They can't hurt us unless we go to Costa Rica and eat a lot them that we caught..lol. In captivity, they eat wingless fruit flys that you cultivate at home. Very easy to care for and very pretty.

I see dart frog and a knife sitting in front of them. My first question was "who you planning to kill?", but you go and spoil it by saying their "poison" is derived from their food..

I clicked on this thread because I misread "dart frogs" as "dog farts". Just a bit of dyslexia. But dart frogs are cool too....

Bitchin! I count six but at first hard glance I was thinking there are no frogs in there till the yellow'ish dude was hiding in plain sight.

I had to zoom in on the blue dude. looked like a piece of plastic or something till I saw frog features.

Wingless fruit flies? That sounds like work!

btw...the Bromeliads are a sweet addition!

5 for sure, 6 if that's a solid blue one by the water hole.

After blowing up the pic, I found the 7th one. Kind of like where's Waldo.

But 7 is an odd number meaning there is an eighth. There's gotta be an eighth!!

I buy my fish in odd numbers. :anonymous::anonymous:

Somehow 9 Buenos Aires tetras have less aggression issues than 8.

Now I want to see a fighting dart frog...
