2001 Tacoma is stock. TrailBlazer SS is full bolts and preparing to install a 2650 Magnuson, lowered on K&B coil overs.
I am wanting to swap gears and a limited slip in the front of my 01 Tacoma and am wondering if there's someone in or near my area that has done the front diff that could offer help.
I have done many rear gear and differential changes from GM 7.5 through 14 bolt, Ford 9" and just about every Dana through Dana 80.
I have no experience with the clamshell in my Tacoma and welcome all help, suggestions. I would even consider buying one already done so i could just swap them out.

    Thanks
    Slimm

Contact East Coast Gear Supply you can have a front diff built to your specs (locker, gearing ect.) and trade your stock one in as a core.

^that is the standard TW answer these days; and is definitely the easiest way to get it done. If you've ever rebuilt a diff before its not difficult however.

Also welcome to TW, good to see more 1st gen members around Lexington.

Thank you all for your responses, I appreciate the help/info. I will look into East Coast Gear Supply, thanks for the heads up!

Yes I did, thanks. I just ordered a complete front and rear setup from East Coast Gear, swapped them into mine and sent my stockers back.
My younger brother is driving my Tacoma for the last couple weeks and maybe a couple more while his truck is in the shop. I am back to driving my 08 TBSS, next time you see me say Hi!
